Study Hall -- Wednesday, October 19th

Sarah sits at her desk, working on her really sexy Fandom-High-populated Regency romance novel very important principal-type work.

The puppies are asleep in the basket in front of her desk, and anybody is free to pick them up.

Marty walks into study hall avoiding the puppies and wearing sunglasses in a vain attempt to hide the bruises on his face. He spies Angela with the box of what appears to be his stuff and groans.

Great. Just fucking great.

He walks over and stand in front of her.

"That for me?"

For a split second, Angela forgets how pissed off she is at Marty. "What happened to your face?," she says, almost tender.

Then she looks down at the box and feels a flash of anger, and keeps her tone steely. "It's yours. Two books, a CD, a couple pressed flowers, a Grosse Point athletic shirt, and a macaroni necklace. I'm keeping the cat, it's not like you could take care of her anyhow."

Seeing everything he's ever given her sends Marty over the edge. So much for second chances.

"What the hell do you care?"

Marty grabs the box, wincing a little as he bends over.

"Keep the damn cat."

"Fine," Angela says.

She watches him struggle with the box, unsure if there's anything else she can say. The part of her that brought forward the sympathetic impulse is now worrying about the wince. What did he do after he left?

"See you around, right?"

He hesistates for a moment trying to think of something to say... but ends up walking away.
