Loki looked positively gleeful as the students came in and took their seats. It would become evident why he was looking so excited shortly but, for now, he was just grinning like a smug motherfucker.

Once everyone was settled, he stood up and said, "Today we're going to talk about some of the suckiest fucking people in the world. People who are annoying."

Now it was clear why he was gleeful.

"You all know someone annoying," he said with conviction. "You might be that annoying fucking person, in fact. Sometimes your friends will be good enough not to fucking tell you that you're annoying but, trust me, all of us are annoying at one point or another. It's just the degree and the way we're fucking annoying. Some of us might talk too much, some of us might fucking stink, some of us chew with our mouths open and spray it. I could go on and fucking on but that's not what this class is about. This is about how you would deal with people like this."

And Loki kind of really wanted to hear how some of these students would deal with annoying shitheads. He was kind of an evil person sometimes. And he predicted half of the students would use physical violence.

"So, here's today's activity," Loki said, still looking gleeful. "I want each and every one of you to stand up and give one way in which you think you can be an annoying bastard. Yes, this means owning up to some of your flaws but you're all fucking adults, for the most part, so I have confidence you can do this without falling apart. Once you do this, everyone else? It's your job to say how you'd deal with that particular trait. Be fucking creative. If someone says they talk too much, don't just offer to punch them in the mouth. Think outside the box. I'm even gonna play? Everyone understand? Okay, go."

Deciding to set a good example, Loki went first. "So, my annoying trait. I'm a fucking pushy bastard. And I like getting my way. How would you all deal with me?"

"Velociraptors."

There were few problems that Calvin thought judicious application of velociraptors wouldn't fix.

"So, you'd send me to my death?" Loki asked, amused despite himself. "Because I'm a pushy bastard?"

Calvin thought about it. "Maybe not kill you, just chew on you a little."

"Interesting." Loki wondered if this kid was going to grow up and be some evil genius who lived in a cave in a mountain and tried to take over the world every so often. "Aggressiveness as a means of combating annoyance is a good one. It's the one I use more often than not."

"I'd tell you to lighten up!" Kurt answered. "And if that didn't work, I'd probably make vague threats about things that might happen to you if you didn't."

"You think vague threats would work on someone like me?" Loki wondered.

"Probably not, but once you start getting annoyed you might change your mind about being so annoying," Kurt answered.

Loki narrowed his eyes. "Are you trying to talk me in circles?"

Kurt grinned. "Nope! Are YOU trying to get unpleasant things to happen to your office?"

"I would work to subtly undermine you in ways you couldn't easily pin on me," Elena grinned. "See if I could convince you you were crazy, or cursed."

"Interesting," Loki said, raising an eyebrow. "You'd do all that work just to get me to stop being pushy?"

"Depends," Elena said. "I'd probably try ignoring you first, or telling you to fuck off, but if neither of those worked and I had to deal with you? It'd be kinda fun."

"And worth wasting all that time on?" he asked. "Because I think you'd lose time on that."

"Have you ever pushed someone into a nervous breakdown?" Elena asked, mischievously. "I don't think I'd call that a waste."

"I have," Loki said. Angel of Death and all tended to bring that reaction out. "Sometimes, I just got so fucking bored if it wasn't fun to watch."

"Oh, that's no fun." Elena frowned. "All that work and then a quiet little snap? They owe you a frothing at the mouth, at least."
