Another Tuesday, another library shift, and Anemone had her nose buried deep in the surfing magazines again. Spring was coming -- eventually -- which meant if she couldn't get back in the sky, she'd be hitting the waves the moment the ice was off the water.

The library was open, but unless you've got the newest issue of Cutback, good luck getting the aide's attention.

Ah. There was coffee. Henry hollered his thanks in Anemone's direction, then filled an oversized mug before settling in to do some more paperwork.

Doing paperwork rapidly turned into downloading the complete Lou Reed discography, b-sides included, but he was, nonetheless, around.

It was first period when George finally stumbled out of Special Collections. There was paper bits stuck in his hair, and he frowned at Anemone curiously. "I wasn' gone fer that long, eh?" he said. "I didn' know th'librarian would care."

Anemone blinked at him over her magazine.

"Well, that's what you get for wandering off without permission," she replied pertly, not sure when he'd stumbled in to Special Collections, or when, exactly, he thought today was. "Did you have fun, or did the books try to eat you?"

"I don' need permission t'wander off," George frowned. "Least I never did before." He shrugged, trying to brush the paper out of his hair. "They liked me hair a lot. Twas weird."

"Mmmm," she replied, noncommittal as she looked him over. "What made you think going in there was a good idea, anyway? It bites, you know."

"I didn' get bit," he replied defensively. "An' twas someone in th' library an' then it went into Special Collections. Twas me job t'go after it, aye? Couldn' let it run free."

Hrm, he was the Thursday person, wasn't he?

"Did you find him, her, or it?" she asked, flipping a page slowly. "Or did you end up running in circles for the last six days?"

"I don' - six days?" George asked. "I did miss ev'rythin'!" He frowned. "Yer jus' messin' wit' me. Tisn't Tuesday."

"Tuesday," she confirmed. "Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye."

"You also missed the pie-tossing, the dunking people into chocolate, and the kissing booths. Sorry."

"Don' be stickin' much in yer eye," he advised with a grin. "It does hurt."

And now he was wondering if he'd missed kissing a certain blonde witch or if she'd forgive him for it.
