Ugh.
A whole lot of ugh.
Jono wasn't being particularly productive today, no. Mostly because, in spite of his best efforts (he'd even hopped into the shower back at the dorms, clothing and all), he still reeked of fudge. His turtleneck had fortunately been black to start with, so he didn't have to worry about it staining, but yesterday's adventure in the dunk tank meant that his eyes were now open to his desperate need to expand his wardrobe.
And so he'd brought a bedsheet with him to cut into strips once his actual duties around here were finished.
... Look, have you ever tried to find enough leather to wrap yourself from waist to nostrils with? It was both decidedly not easy, and decidedly not cheap. He'd make do with dark cotton until something better came around.

Afternoon
Yes, he realizes how completely ridiculous this whole bedsheet thing seems.
Re: Afternoon
Re: Afternoon
Jono raised an eyebrow at her, setting the scissors down on the desk and shoving the bedsheet out of the way before beginning to rummage.
//Bit of a bad day, luv?//
Re: Afternoon
Inside the bag he'd find all the nice leather he'd need to wrap up that fiery chest of his.
"I'm just in a mood. That should be enough to take care of you, right?"
Re: Afternoon
//This is plenty,// he agreed, nodding faintly. //Thank yer, gel. If there's anything I can do in turn...?//
Re: Afternoon
Then she smacked herself on the forehead. Oops. Spoilers.
Re: Afternoon
Resist the siren call of the army of blue fairies made out of solid sound, Jono! Resist it!
//Little late for the fudge, mind. It's an experience I'm not planning on repeating, fortunately.//
Wings? Seriously?
Re: Afternoon
Re: Afternoon
Wings and clown lips? What the hell, universe at large?
Re: Afternoon
"Why?" she asked cautiously. "What did he tell you?"
Re: Afternoon
And Apocalypse. But then, that name was never much of a surprise, if you happened to be a Starsmore.
//He's Deadpool, luv. He'll go on about things that way. Whether or not they make sense is a different matter entirely.//
Re: Afternoon
Clown lips. Yep. Now she got it. And was laughing pretty hard now.
Then she immediately stopped as she realized that spoilers could be bad.
"I wouldn't worry about it too much."
Clown lips. Yep. Trying hard not to snicker.
Re: Afternoon
It looked more or less like most of the looks that he usually gave people, actually.
//This means that yer not going to let me in on th'joke, then?//
Re: Afternoon
"Okay. I'll tell you. But you can't let on that you know or you'll jeopardize the universe," Layla said seriously.
Re: Afternoon
//I'm game,// he decided. Because... Honestly, now. What in the world could clown lips possibly have to do with the fate of the universe? That just seemed bloody silly, really.
Re: Afternoon
Yes. She did say that with a straight face.
Re: Afternoon
... Honestly, now? Honestly? Jono couldn't tell if Layla was covering for something, pulling an answer out of her arse, or telling the honest-to-God truth. And that was going to hurt Jono's head.
//With little zombie poodles in tutus and party hats, too, I'd wager.//
At least it made for an interesting mental image.
Re: Afternoon
"You think I'm making this up?" she growled. "Don't be ridiculous."
Re: Afternoon
//Right, right. Zombie clowns. I really ought to know better than to doubt yer. After all, in a place like this, it isn't terribly unlikely, either.//
Re: Afternoon
Re: Afternoon
Seriously. He doubted that he'd be able to speak a word of it to anybody without looking like an absolute git. And what were a few zombie clowns, anyhow?
... Aside from what was possibly the most disturbing mental image he'd ever had, of course.
