Study Hall | Friday

It was Friday again, but this week Ronon was pleased to see there were no tiny creatures to steal his lunch, follow him home, replicate a few dozen times, and turn into destructive beasts in the middle of the night.

Made for a busy weekend.

Ronon was making use of his study hall time to check out a five-hour documentary he'd been given for Christmas. Someone on his team was cruel.

Ronon shrugged, it had been more Carson's deal than anyone else. "Just where we landed."

"So you just touched down there and that was that? It's all over?" She was also thinking they'd just landed a ship, though.

"Hey, I'm not the tech guy," Ronon replied, hands up. "I just go where they tell me." And die, but get brought back to life!

Now she was thinking. "So is John still military in your world? If he's just hanging around there..." Because that might get her a little hopeful.

"Sure. Might say he manages both pretty well," Ronon answered with a smile.

Hmm. "So he's doing good there?" Apparently she still worried about an alternate universe John, who even knew.

"He's Sheppard," Ronon replied as if that was an answer. "Why're you so worried about it?"

"He's John. Apparently I worry how every version of him is doing," she shrugged.

"You can't let things you have no control over get to you," Ronon told her in a voice that spoke of a loooot of experience with this. "The team takes care of each other."

"I know. Still not going to stop me from wondering, though," Jaina said. "I worry about my relatives that aren't from my timeline, I wonder how my kids I never had are doing, I like to check in on how other mes are from time to time. It's practically habit now."

"I'd tell you to call him, but you're better off just dealing with one of him." Trust Ronon on this one.

"And the one I have already gets hit on by me enough." What? "I'll trust you. And his Sheppardness."

"You hit him?" Finer points of language, Ronon.

"Hit on," she corrected. Which... was a little weird to admit to a former teacher.

Earth was weird. "Does it work? Knocking the sense into him?" Now that saying he could appreciate.

She'd let it go. "No. Not in the slightest."

"And he wonders why I enjoy stunning him." Seriously, Ronon had the best gun ever.

"You stun him a lot?" she asked. ~~Between the bug thing and the getting stunned thing, she and John really might be a perfect match!~~

"Would you stun him sometimes if you could?" Come on.

"Maybe once or twice. I don't think I'd enjoy it..." The ones where she was from hurt a lot after.

Ronon snorted. She clearly hadn't heard Sheppard whining how sorry he was he'd shot someone. "Sounds like you're nicer than most and still you wait around for your Sheppard." Ronon approved even if he didn't get it. This was why he didn't date John.

Waiting for her had been exactly what she'd been expecting him to do in the past. "Waiting around's not hard," she said. The anticipation was going to kill her in a week, but that was beside the point. "And you're probably the first person ever to say anything about me being nice. Thanks for that."

"Seriously?" This surprised Ronon somehow. "You're kinda overly interested in getting information, but it's not like you're a raving bitch."

Well, not so far...

"You haven't seen me overly interested," Jaina explained. "If I was, you'd see me being a raving bitch. I've got a thousand questions, but I don't expect you to answer them all."

"I get the feeling this isn't gonna be your only visit to study hall this semester," Ronon replied, shaking his head at the number of questions.
