Modeling for Dummies, Thursday 1/21/10

After handwavily informing the kids to meet up in the danger shop, Deadpool was positively giddy about the oh so awesome fashion show that would be happening. There was even a poorly constructed runway set up for it!

"Now, I don't want you kids to feel nervous or anything about having to parade about on stage in something you created where anyone could just walk in a mock. It's not that big a deal. It's just one day that could get you labeled 'that chick slash guy who face planted on the stage because their outfit was crap'. So... you know."

Deadpool shrugged.

"Get over it. And I didn't wanna make you guys do this alone, so I got you someone to walk with. Noooow, it's possible these poorly photoshopped lil' fellas are part of the shop and won't actually bite you. Or, it's possible some of them snuck in and enjoy wearing unitards and vision obscuring masks. I dunno. But this is what you gotta deal with as a real model."

Yeeeeah.

"So, have fuuuuuun."

Tara was doing her best, but her body language was still much more Shy Girl Trying To Get This Over With As Fast As Possible (And Stay Away From The Gremlin Even If It's Fake) than Runway Diva.

Tyra would be ashamed.

Hayley had a little trouble moving in her heavy dress (http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a184/therabidone/aggy111.jpg). But, she did her part and actually looked pretty good while doing it. She was able to pull off the look, and the fact she also looked like she had no clue in her head made her look more like a model.

Weren't you all lucky that even being in this class wasn't going to put a damper on Katchoo's mood today? Because no matter how much she played it down, Katina Choovanski could move in a crazy-ass dress and make it look good.

The gremlin was staying a good distance from her, though. Good mood notwithstanding, she could still bitch you out something fierce. FIERCE.

Chuck totally rocked the runway, oh yes he did. And he was actually wearing (http://alexandraandthecity.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/e8.jpg) something (http://www.gossipgirlonline.net/gallery/albums/UPLOADS/Stills/2x12%20Its%20A%20Wonderful%20Lie/normal_0004.jpg) he'd probably wear in real life.

There was no beating Chuck Bass when it came to fashion. Just accept it.

Claire had ended up going with silver (http://www.haydenimages.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=763&pos=0) instead of shiny pink. But she was not shy about strutting her stuff down the runway.

Parker was more used to walking as a method of getting somewhere than to show off and it showed as she moved down the catwalk. She had watched some modelling shows though and was maybe a little over enthusiastic in getting into her poses at the end. It was a good thing that gremlin wasn't standing nearer or it might have been accidentally knocked into the crowd.

Well, of course Warren had managed to work feathers into this whole... men's couture... thing.

The end result was more or less a glorified white overcoat with feather trim, and you could probably tell that he wasn't exactly a tailor by any stretch of the imagination. But so long as the ensemble covered up his feathers, he was all for it.

The blue feather boa was something he'd grabbed because, in the end, the coat on its own hadn't looked 'couture' enough. What could he say? He wore feathers well, and he was shaking his little tush moving down the catwalk like he knew it.

Sam figured he was probably supposed to make eye contact, but considering what he was wearing, that wasn't going to happen. He was happy to just make it down and back without falling.

Part of the shop. They were part of the shop. Any other option would mean that Emmet would have to walk down the runway staring in horror at the thing, and that would not play.

Not because it really existed and supposedly they bit people. Because it was trying to match his stride, and those legs were way too short to pull off a real sashay.

He had an image to maintain, after all.

John Galliano, so much can be laid at your door. (Including Emmett. Really. You need to call him.)
