Once the library was set up for the day, Sam sat down with a copy of Richard III to re-acquaintance himself with the play and to figure out how many lines he was going to have to learn. His excitement about the play was currently being balanced out by not having anyone outside of Fandom to share the news with; sure, he could tell Dean, but he'd probably just laugh and call Sam a geek. Not that that would be wrong, of course, but it just wasn't the kind of conversation he wanted to have right now.

"Don't tempt me. I'm just about that desperate for entertainment," he said. "I'd probably sic them on other people, though."

"Other people who aren't me, right?" Sam asked. With Chuck, he wasn't entirely sure of his safety.

"Why should you be an exception?" he asked.

"Because I'm your friend," Sam said. "Also because the effect of a gremlin bite is only temporary, and I'm bigger than you."

"You wouldn't do more than bitchface at me and you know it."

"I'm really good at the silent treatment too," Sam replied. "And I give a good death glare."

"How very passive aggressive of you," Chuck said. "But, fine, I'll find some other way to entertain myself."

"You could always go do something on the mainland," Sam said. "Assuming you can find someone to drive you. I know it's not a necessity but you should still learn how to drive."

"Why should I? God created limos for a reason."

"But what if you don't have access to a limo?" Sam asked.

"Then I'll wing it," he said. "It's not like it's rocket science. You just push a pedal and go."

Sam did his best to not laugh, not wanting to hurt Chuck's feelings. "Remind me not to get into a car with you, okay?"

"Think about it, the only situation where I'd actually drive while you're there would be something where you're nearly unconscious or missing a limb and need immediate medical attention and can't drive yourself," Chuck said. "So you'd get in the car with me and be damn grateful for it."

At least until he realized that Chuck was the type of person who would most likely close their eyes while driving in order to avoid scary stuff like trucks passing by.

"I guess if I was that injured, I'd already be praying to stay alive, so maybe we'd have a blessed trip," Sam teased.

Chuck smirked. "We'd make it to the hospital fine. If I let anything happen to you death would probably be preferable compared to what Dean would do to me."

"Dean might know a way to kill you, bring you back, and then kill you again," Sam said. "It wouldn't surprise me. He's hanging out with real hunters now, they know all kinds of crap."

"See? All the more reason to keep you alive."
