The benches in this section were a little further from the bonfire than the others. If people were sensible, they might want to keep all their clothes on over here, but Fandom, of course, has never been graced with an overabundance of sensible people.

Elena put one hand to her forehead, feigning a dramatic sigh.

"How can you cast me aside so cruelly?" she said. "No one shall ever compare. I have been ruined for all other men, having experienced your delights."

"I'm not casting you aside, just trying to save you from the hideousness of me without a shirt," he said, trying valiantly not to laugh. "Besides, it's cold."

"That just gives people an excuse to get close," she insisted, wriggling a few inches closer. "Body heat is very important. Saves people from frostbite."

"You're making a pretty strong argument for losing my shirt," he said, pulling at the front. "Might just need a little bit more to pull the trigger. I'm playing hard to get."

"Are you?" she asked with a giggle. "I know how shy you are. I don't want you to think I'm taking you for granted, here. I mean, I respect you for your mind, I'm not just after your body."

"But mostly my body, right?" he asked, leaning closer to her and mock whispering it.

"I'm not blind," she laughed, closing the distance easily.

"Is it?" she teased, nipping at his lips again. "You think if I was blind, I wouldn't be swayed so easily by your charm?"

"Being charming can fucking tiring," he said, flicking his tongue out to lick at her lower lip. "I'd have to really want you to be charming."

"Are you saying you don't really want me?" she asked, offering her best pout. "I'm thoroughly worth wanting. I'm hurt."

"Hey hey, I didn't say I didn't want you," he pointed out, laughing. "I just said I'd have to really want you to be charming. Guess what? I'm pretty sure you fall under that category."

"Let's see it, then," she teased, straightening up with a laugh. "Your best attempt at charm. Impress me."

It was her turn for playing hard-to-get, apparently.

Laughing, Alex straightened himself and fell silent for a minute. He figured she wouldn't let him get away with the easy 'you're fucking hot' or 'you'd be hotter naked' that he tended to throw out.

"Pretty sure that if you took off your shirt, every guy here would be willing to keep you warm," he started, grinning, "but I'd be the only one to keep you warm and make it last."

That earned him a very appreciative grin. And a much longer kiss, this time around.

"Very nice," she purred. "It's probably good you're sitting off by the fire. If you were being charming at all the new girls, we'd have an epidemic of wet panties."

"I haven't decided if any of them are worth charming yet," he mumbled, half smiling and leaning in for another kiss. "Not something I make a habit of doing. But..."

His grin went a little more wicked and his eyes flicked down. "How are yours doing?"

Well, she couldn't very well say that and not expect him to ask.

"Wouldn't you love to know," she laughed. "More fun if you find out for yourself, isn't it?"

Shame there were all these people around.

"You shouldn't make challenges like that," he said because yeah, he was already letting one hand slide down that way. Public places didn't tend to bother him all that much.

Elena wriggled slightly, her breath hissing at his touch.

"You're horrible," she laughed. "You'd fuck a girl in the middle of class if she offered."

"You should offer it sometime and we can test out a desk," he said, letting his fingers brush against the edges of her waistband before dipping slightly lower. "They seem pretty durable to me."
