BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

Timing had worked in Bruce's favor this morning. After a long overnight flight from Japan, he was really early for the shuttle to Fandom. That was according to plan. This way he'd get to see how people came into the room marked "Fandom High," whether they were nervous, or excited, or annoyed at the very thought of having to go to school.

Those first impressions didn't necessarily mean anything, but Bruce felt they often gave a good insight into how his new classmates would react in a stressful situation. You never knew when that kind of thing might come in handy.

[OOC: OCD is coming up!]

"I thought this was an American school," Roy said, eying the Mountie slightly warily.

"It is," he said, nodding his assent. "I'm attached to the Canadian consulate and working both as the head of school security and a liaison."

"...the school has a consulate?" What? He hadn't had any coffee yet.

"No," he laughed, shaking his head. "Before being employed here, I was employed in Chicago and attached to the Canadian consulate there. That's still where I'm attached. It's just a little further of distances now."

"Oh, okay," Roy said. "That makes more sense. Sorry."

"It's all right. It's something I'm used to and something I don't mind explaining." He'd done it enough that it was second nature. "Welcome to Fandom even if we aren't in Fandom yet."
