AMBASSADOR LEGION, BUREAUCRATS & GARDENING SIGN UP

Hi, I'm Justin Quayle and I'm here to teach an aray of subjects to you students. I think those who are in Politics would love and be interested in this class and it's counter-parts. I am a British High Commission Bureaucrat and a part-time gardener. I find myself very reliable, open and handsome intelligent and I hope you all do too.

Onto the courses!

Winston Churchill
BUREAUCRACY 101
MAX WEBER DEFINED A BUREAUCRAT AS:

  • He is personally free and appointed to his position on the basis of conduct

  • He exercises the authority delegated to him in accordance with impersonal rules, and his loyalty is enlisted on behalf of the faithful execution of his official duties

  • His appointment and job placement are dependent upon his technical qualifications

  • His administrative work is a full-time occupation

  • His work is rewarded by a regular salary and prospects of advancement in a lifetime career

  • He must exercise his judgment and his skills, but his duty is to place these at the service of a higher authority. Ultimately he is responsible only for the impartial execution of assigned tasks and must sacrifice his personal judgment if it runs counter to his official duties.

  • Bureaucratic control is the use of rules, regulations, and formal authority to guide performance. It includes such things as budgets, statistical reports, and performance appraisals to regulate behavior and results.

In this class I will be teaching you all the things you will need to become an effective Bureaucrat, a respectful citizen and a beautifully put together politician. If you take this class, I suggest taking AMBASSADORS LEGION 2A to get an idea of what high up Bureaucrats take care of through Ambassadors to other countries.

Jeremy Greenstock | UK AMBASSADOR.
AMBASSADORS LEGION 2A
By definition, an ambassador means: a diplomatic official accredited to a foreign sovereign or government, or to an international organization, to serve as the official representative of his or her own. All in all, this course will teach you how to deal with foreign affairs when tending to serious matters of social, moral and applied rules. Different societys ask different things from us and we all must help out those less fortunate.

I am, by accreditation, an Ambassador to the African state of Nairobi.

AMBASSADORS LEGION 2B HONORS
This course will be bloody harder than the other class, this is for students who really desire to become a public figure in other countries. You will be taken on field trips to African Countries in order to get field study.

In my garden based in Nairobi
CULTIVATING AND GARDENING
Learn how to cultivate small plots of land into beautiful edens of food and plants. It's only our duty as humans to pay back the Earth for what we have raped and pillaged her for. This class will not be that hard, as gardening is just a small hobby and I'm learning myself. We'll learn together, chaps!

I think it is extremely important to know what plants go where in the countries around the world. Hopefully, if you're in Honors Ambassadors Legion 2B you will join this class to learn more for you case studies to Africa. We will be focusing mostly on African plants, as that is my area of interest. Africa is a deprived nation and our goal would be to incorporate new plants into their feeding rituals.

We can do it, I know it.

I'd like to sign up for Ambassador Legion 2B Honors, and also to apply as a teacher assistant for the same course

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-09-15 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll see what I can do, Professor

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-09-15 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I find it helps to be nice to those above you; teachers especially.

It's easier to make a friend at the start, than have to repair a poor first impression

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-09-15 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
*smiles shyly*

What part of Africa were you in? I confess that I've spent some time in Mali, Kenya and Egypt.

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-09-15 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. Where will you be taking the class? I might be able to use the field trip to bribe persuade others to join ;)

And I won't admit that I think you're hot

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-09-15 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
No, thank you, Justin. I've got plans this evening, I need to get ready for.

I'm looking forward to your first lecture next week. Oh, and if you need me before then, I'm in dorm #239 and my number is 555-8883 (http://www.livejournal.com/users/notcalledlizzie/1020.html")

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-09-15 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
*grins* I'm sure I will with omg! subtext and lingerie and massages

Good luck with that; I remember it well...

[identity profile] deirdreofamber.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
I am interested in Gardening, but what would be the policy on importing plants to this 'Africa' place from other ShadowsWorlds Places?

[identity profile] deirdreofamber.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that seems like a good idea.

May I take class anyway?

[identity profile] scissors--.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
I would like to sign up for gardening, sir. I think i can to that :)

[identity profile] scissors--.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 11:19 am (UTC)(link)
Will i get to trim bushes and trees in wacky shapes if i'm a part time gardener?

[identity profile] scissors--.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
ooh awesome, i'll take the job. That is, as long as you're not in Africa, because that will be quite a long distance call if i need some help or something 0.o

[identity profile] scissors--.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
ahh, that's okay then :)

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Kiki sees the new class posting. "Oooh... plants. This could be really handy when the Wildcrafting Club gets going."

She puts her name on the sheet for Cultivating and Gardening.

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get into classes, since I was so late enrolling in the school, especially because so many students were signed up for 5 or 6 classes and taking the available slots - but they keep adding more! What a relief."

Enrolling

[identity profile] courier-gavin.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. I am also in Goverments and Diplomacy which is taught by Senator Padme Amidala. Politics is a special fondness of mine, and I hope I will do well in your class.

That would be excellent, mr. Quayle. I would greatly appreciate it!

Wait. Do they have Haunted Houses (http://www.livejournal.com/users/jerusalem_s/4674.html) in Kenya? Because if they do, I may have to rethink this.

[identity profile] allie-cameron.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
I'd like to sign up for Bureaucracy 101 please.

I think those skills would be useful to me when I become a doctor.

[identity profile] ihatedenmark.livejournal.com 2005-10-04 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
May I sign up for Bureaucracy 101, sir? It sounds like something I might need when I eventually becomes head of state.

When are classes stated to begin?
