The Library is Open - 10/18

Methos is buried somewhere in the stacks. A sign on the collections desk reads, "Students are reminded that they will be fed to Locker 327 if they bring food into the library. Yes, the librarian is exempt from that. No, it's not fair. Get over it."

If you need to check out a book, hope that one of the assistants is around -- or risk your life by yelling for the librarian in the library.

"Then you may want to check the logs, or whatever you keep to monitor who's going back there," Angelus said. "Because I have this itchy sensation somebody's being naughty and maybe using library assistants to do it."

"Always happy to help," Angelus took a step back, then paused. "Out of curiosity, what exactly did I do to earn being singled out like that?"

"Honestly, I have no idea. But I do trust my assistants' judgement." It would take vampire hearing to catch the muttered, "...usually," under Methos' breath.

Angelus came forward, looking perplexed. "So it's considered acceptable library policy to allow student assistants to single out another student and specifically deny him rights for no reason whatsoever? Even if said student has excellent grades, multiple activities that contribute to the well-being of the school, and only one detention to his name?"

"I didn't say they had no reason. I said I did not know the reason. And, as you've pointed out, everyone is denied access to Special Collections right now, so you're not being singled out."

"I would consider a post-it on my personal library card that mentions me by name singling me out," Angelus said. "An act that's doubly insulting given that it implies I more than my fellow students would be inclined to break the rules about going back there. Who else did your assistants see fit to make a public humiliation of? Should I even bother asking if a human name made it to that list?"

"Yes, discrimination against demons is so terrible. I'm sure I shall waste no time in worrying about it. Now, is there anything I can help you with, or are you just here to whine?"

"Whining. Huh. Interesting." Angelus said. "Can I quote you on that?"

"Anytime." Methos bares his teeth in a grin and heads back to the stacks.
