"Since Halloween was this past weekend, Professor Lupin and I decided that we should share some of the more...unusual candies from our world with you," Sirius said with a grin on his face as he pointed to a table positively groaning with different varieties of sweets. Harry had gone to Honeydukes and the two teachers had no idea how else they were going to get rid of the excess.

"There are Bertie Bott's Every Flavour--and we do mean every flavor--Beans, Chocolate Frogs, Ten-Tongue Toffees, Acid Pops--careful of those if you don't want a hole through your tongue, Fizzing Whizzbees--which will make you levitate for a little bit, Licorice Snaps--and yes, those actually snap," Sirius added, looking about as happy as he ever did. "Go ahead, try them out."

"It's not precisely dark arts," Remus added, "but we supposed that given that last week was Halloween and my player was a total failure and sick last night, we supposed sharing treats might be an idea."

After a shaky weekend, Alex couldn't really fault this week. First a class about Vegas and now a class where he could eat candy. Considering this was his last class of the week, Alex considered it a win.

Priestly grabbed some of the every-flavor beans and started examining them, trying to work out what flavor they might be.

He popped one experimentally in his mouth. And then spit it out and went "ack, ack, ack, ack, who would use that as a candy flavor?!"

The beans, he decided, were best observed from a distance.

Alex grabbed a handful and then just started popping them into his mouth to experiment.

The flavor of pepperoni was a surprise for candy but it wasn't bad. However, tasting freaking shampoo was bad and he had to choke that one down. Now, he was a little wary of trying anymore.

Sam was certain that there couldn't be beans for every flavor out there, but after spitting out broccoli, fish, and something that tasted like wax, he was willing to change his mind.

Taking in to account the reactions of the others around her, and the fact that scent was no help in discerning flavors, Firekeeper steered clear of the Every Flavor Beans.

Instead, she went right for the chocolate frogs, pleasantly amused when they hopped around on their own after she unwrapped them.

The chocolate frogs were rather good, but the cards therein... Merlin was just going to very calmly not look at them. At all.

Oh, like Francine would be able to resist candy that let her fly.

Okay, 'fly' was a generous term, but 'float a couple inches off the ground' was still nifty, and besides, the fizzing whizzbees were tasty.

Diana was having a lot of fun with the floating candy. It was best not asked what it was she was planning on doing with the handful of jelly beans she had stuck in her backpack.

Momoko was going to try them ALL! But she had to start somewhere...

She started with the jelly beans, and had a fairly successful time of it! She made it through Salad Dressing, Coconut, Strawberry Jelly, Lime, Cauliflower, Salmon, some sort of flower, Onion, Cheese, Cherry, Mayonnaise, and even Salt. She faltered a bit at Vinegar, and did finally spit out Rotten Egg. But it was the last one in the pouch that made her most upset.

"Really! Who would make a Celery flavoured jelly bean?!"

Mucho apologies omg -- I got a severe headache + some kind of insane illness last night, and poor siriuslyscarred basically wrote class herself, so applaud her and eat fake candy.
