Sex Ed [Monday, Period Five]
As each student entered the class-room, Bond handed them a small, folded slip of paper with their name on the front, and gestured for them to sit down.
"Good afternoon, class," he began once they were all seated. "Today's we're going to be discussing kinks."
"In most basic terms, a kink is sexual practice that goes beyond those that are considered conventional. Now, given that what's actually considered a conventional sexual practice can vary wildly from culture to culture, the list of potential kinks is quite frankly too massive for me to list in a single class. However, there are some things that generally hold true over that range."
"Firstly, provided that all the participants involved are consenting adults informed of any potential risks involved, there is nothing inherently wrong in any particular kink. Just because most people don't share your enthusiasm for a sexual practice, it does not necessarily follow that you're hurting anyone who has not previously agreed to be hurt within certain predefined parameters with the understanding you'll stop if they use their safeword.
"There's also the matter of compatible kinks. Whilst the internet has indeed made it easier to find others who share more outré sexual interests, if your particular kink doesn't have an organised or active sub-culture then the chances are lower that your partner shares your kink. Especially if it's something that you're embarrassed or ashamed to talk to them about.
"This is where good communication comes in. Whilst there is a chance that your particular kink happens to be something that they absolutely can't do, for whatever reason, there's also the chance that the opposite is true. And even if they don't share your kink, they might be willing to experiment, after all, they probably have their own kinks and fantasies that they're equally embarrassed to ask you to try out.
"Which brings us to the exercise for the day," Bond said. "The slips of paper I gave you earlier will be your kink for the rest of the class. What I would like you to do is find a partner, and working under the assumption that you and your partner are currently in a long-term relationship, broach the fact that you have this particular kink and would like them to participate in it with you."
