The first thing Gabrielle did when she got into the library was check in the copy of The Iliad that she'd borrowed; it was none the worse for wear, thank you very much, having spent the time safely stowed away in Argo's magical saddlebags of holding, wrapped in a roll of leather that was meant to be for the repair of a certain warrior princess's armor. (Gabrielle insisted this was perfectly fair payback for Xena letting their good paring knife get away . . . embedded in a warlord's thigh.)
The second thing she did was get out her copy of the play and start going over lines.
If you happened to walk into the library and catch her at just the right time, you might see her acting things out in front of the desk, the book in one hand while the other hand was waving around in grandiose gestures.
