Student Council Meeting (locked to the Council)

In an empty classroom, Dean Bristow waits for the Student Council to file in. On the chalkboard, he has written:

Elizabeth looks down, hiding a smile at Rory's enthusiasm.

"Alright, we need to decide about Family Weekend and what we want to do to improve on the promises we all made while we were running for office."

"I think Family Weekend should be our first priority, as it's coming up soon and it's likely to require a large amount of planning and co-ordinating."

Faith holds up her notebook and pen. "I figured I should take notes. I think that, besides the actual determining of how the parents are going to get onto the grounds and having some basic idea of what they're going to do here, security should be out highest priority."

Rory nods in agreement. "Are parents subject to the weapons ban as well? And where exactly is everyone going to stay? We can't house our parents in our dorms. It's cozy enough as it is."

"I know there are some hotels in town, and I'm sure not all students have family coming, but yes, that may be problematic. And I think that the weapons ban is pretty important."

(OOC- did the Mods have any plans for this?)

(OOC: Per Red's statement, if there's a basic business that the town should have, it probably does have it, run by non-Fandom NPCs. Hotels should be fine)

Speaking of security... several parents might take objection to seeing a giant ball rolling around campus. How will security be implemented?

Rory considers this. "Well, considering Rover's worked so far, I don't see why he shouldn't continue to. I mean, sure, it's kind of weird, and I know parents are going to be confused by it, but there are so many odd aspects of our school that they shouldn't really focus on Rover that much, I guess. But I think that security does need to be stepped up, for sure."

Once they've since the squid, they probably won't look twice at Rover

"We need to know how many are coming as soon as possible," Elizabeth adds. "That way, if someone turns up and they're not on a list, then they're not coming in.

It'll also help the businesses in town to know how many extra to expect, and it's always good to keep on their good sides."

Rory nods. "I can take care of that. I'll get a formal count on the number of people showing up, their relation to the student, et cetera."
