Welcome back to Cyborg Theory.

Last week’s class was very successful as you all tried to work out the warning signs of the true identity of a human-form robot.

Today, you have all been informed that Anakin, Kawalsky, Cally, Lee and Aeryn are human-form robots. What are your varying reactions to this news? How would you react to discover that your close friend, acquaintance, classmate and/or that person over there, omg, was not, in fact, human?

I have places for you to comment with your general reactions, if you have any, and specific reactions.

And for the faux-robots in the class, what would be your reaction to (a) discovering that people know, (b) the reactions of your loved ones to this news.

Please show me both your first knee-jerk reaction and a more thoughtful analysis.

Beka bites her lip, clearly emotional on this subject. "I'd find something to hit. A lot. Hard. Then I'd find things to blow up that don't shoot back."

::bites her lip as well::

Really?

"Yeah, Pumpkin. You bein' a robot would about break me." Beka gives her an affectionate look.

"But you're not. Unless that's why you keep ~~hitting on me~~ trying to get close to me?" She winks.

Nope, definitely not a robot. The whole ~~hitting on you~~ being friends thing is entirely not robot scheming. I just make sure to be friends with the best people I know, that's all. ::smiles::

"I'm glad. ~~I'd be hurt if you were only hitting on me out of some great robot plot.~~" Beka smiles. "But you know? If you were a robot? We'd work it out. And I'd protect you from the people who might want to hurt you. Because you'd still be Cally."

::shrugs, and smirks::

I dunno, I might have evil robot programming, and if I'm found out, I might go on some sort of rampage to kill all the girls who are prettier than me, or something ::laughs::

Beka smirks back. "Well, I'd be safe then. And I could protect them from you. Maybe by tickling you until you gave up your evil schemes."

::sticks out her tongue::

Being tickled out of evil schemes might be harder than it sounds... ::grin::

"I'm willing to take that risk." She grins back, flexing her fingers threateningly. "So... how evil are you?"

::ducks behind a desk::

Not at all! I am full of sunshine, puppies, and whatever ambrosia is made of! Not evil at all!

Why would you resort to violence, Beka?

Beka gives Dr. Replicarter a pleading look, like she'd really rather not talk about this. But she responds honestly. "When I'm hurt or angry, I can't...I have to find some way to let it out or it makes me do bad things." She looks down at the ground.

Aeryn considers this. "I can actually see that. Make sure your ~~Cylon~~ robot is someone everyone likes and it's easier to get in through everyone's defenses, and then you have the go-ahead to... go ahead with your plan."

John nods. "Actually, that would be a good plan. Get everyone's defenses down, get their trust up and then hit them with the kill shot. Ouch."

"And then finding out would probably be enough to give you the element of surprise if you needed an escape, or make it easier for everyone else to forgive what had happened."

Hey... I'm someone everyone likes? ::smiles, beamingly::

"I would assume so, unless you paid your way to Homecoming Queen," Aeryn says.

Well, I guess that does mean something, but it does sort of imply that you like me, which I wasn't so sure on, before. ::smiles::

...can I hug you?

Aeryn looks a little stricken. "I do like you, Cally, but I don't... really... hug."

((LMAO))

Well, too bad! ::hugs Aeryn::

Aeryn goes completely stiff, not quite sure to react to being hugged. Tenatively, she pats Cally's shoulder and figures that'll have to do.

::lets go of the hug::

See, that wasn't so bad, was it? ::grins::

"That was... a very good hug," she says slowly. "Thank you?"

You're welcome. ::nods::
