Swordplay - 3rd Period - 10/8

Today there was a pile of bandages and... Hello Kitty bandaids. Because those would help in sword related injuries.

True story.

"Goooood morning, kids! Today is that very special day that we sit down and talk about safety while handling swords. Yes, yes, this should have happened before I letcha get your freak on, but I got bored. So deal."

How kind, Deadpool.

He tried.

Gesturing toward Zack, he grinned at the class. "And, since most of ya'll aren't Skywalkers and have no experience with these kinds of things, we'll do an easy peasy example of what happens when you stop being careful in a fight. Puppy?"

Zack grinned all too much even in spite of the nickname, reaching for the sword on his back. And then swinging it. Yes, at Deadpool.

More specifically at Deadpool's arm. And thaaaat would be his arm on the floor now.

"See, you lose a limb and have to get a robotic replacement and trust me, this does hurt." A lot. "Right, Puppy?"

"Of course it does. Arms are kinda important, guys." Zack? Totally nodding, here. He didn't seem too terribly phased by the fact that he'd just hacked off his teacher's arm, no. Why should he be? He gave his sword a little twirl before setting it onto his back again.

Complete with fanfare!

"As are legs and your head, but losing a head means I have to wait for the braincells to catch back up and it's soooo annoying. And then Spider-Man makes some bitchy comments and what does he know? Have you seen his villains lately? Can we say pathetic? Daredevil's gettin' the better ones these days. And those adorable new Avengers now that they have an evil version of their team with Daken. Oh, Daken... I wish my clone was just as bitchy instead of fatter than Dukes," Deadpool rambled, tapping his chin with the one hand he still had attached.

Give him a moment.

"Oh, right! I almost forgot!" Crouching down, he picked up the errant limb to shove it back where it ought to be and wait for things to heal back together. "Limbs. You all just be glad this is it. I was thinkin' about makin' you all play Operation, but I hate that game. The Adam's apple mocks me with it's impossible to getness. It mocks me."

Illyria...had yet to ever be damaged by a sword that wasn't wielded by a god. The last weapon that had actually made contact with her even in this body had shattered on impact.

Which only meant that this entire concept of acknowledging that perhaps injury could be an issue now was intensely... uncomfortable.

Fiona blinked at that. And the parts of her mind that she didn't like to remember existed vaguely wondered what would happen if she cut off his arm.

She tried to forget again that they were there.

Yuffie just facepalmed when Zack did the hack-n-slash routine. She had a pretty high level cure on her (which she thought was a smart idea in Swordplay class) in case Deadpool didn't heal.

Still, they didn't have to look so happy about it.

That horrified look on Kennedy's face, the borderline ohgodI'mgonnapuke one that showed up as soon as Zack chopped Deadpool's arm off? Not at all out of place on the badass vampire-fighting girl she liked to pass herself off as. Honest.

It was a... decoy. Yeah. A ruse. To look less dangerous so... yeah. Right.

These people were insane.

Insane.

"What in the bloody flaming Pit of Doom is wrong with that man?" Mat hissed. Loudly.

"Blood and bloody ashes," Mat yelped.

Claire watched intently.

Oh, Deadpool. Don't give her ideas.

Okay, now Anemone kinda wanted to try that.

Not on herself, mind, although she was curious if she'd regenerate to that extent like some species of coral could, since she already healed faster than average. But slicing into someone that she knew would get better would be kinda fun, and a good way to practice.

...and she missed playing with sharp things. Swords were fun, but Anemone missed her claws.

Firekeeper was reminded somewhat of how a captured lizard would drop its tail in order to escape a predator. She wasn't aware that there were humans who could do similarly.

Interesting.

Zayne was a little concerned that losing a limb could be so... inconsequential to anyone.

Strangely, he WAS trying to be a Jedi. He better get used to that.

And this would be Yuffie, snickering over the bandages and maybe pocketing a few of them.

It was an in-joke, people.

Claire... didn't really need bandaids, but she'd practice with someone, sure.

Anemone was more adept at ripping bandages off than getting them on properly, and she gave the supplies a skeptical glance.

Her poor partner was going to end-up looking like a mummy.

Arthur would be here and trying not to think about the last time he'd been in a position to maim Vice Principal Deadpool to that extent, thank you.

And Zack was there, in a great mood because he'd gotten to help out during the lecture today!

... And maybe a little oblivious to how disturbing his exuberance in that regard might be.
