Library, October 7 [Wednesday]

Gabrielle had woken up this morning with the vivid sensation that there was a story she had to write, and it was right there just waiting to be written down.

And then she'd gotten dressed, and the sensation had just disappeared. Poof. Like a bit of pocket lint or dandelion fluff or any semblance of an uneventful shopping day when Salmoneus was around.

Bound and determined to try anyway, Gabrielle was perched on her chair behind the library front desk, head propped up on her hand and slight frustrated scowl in full effect as she stared at the blank scroll in front of her.

If she could've gotten up and physically chased that story idea down, she'd have done that. She was kind of hoping it'd happen, this being Fandom and all, but.

"Why, what did he do? Steal some of your lines?" Dinah asked, surprised. And boggling on the inside, even though she knew this. Homer. Jeeez.

"You guys were in the Trojan War?" Which may have been the wrong question, given Gabrielle's statement, and Dinah gave her a wince. "Sorry? Maybe it's a different Homer? It could be, you know?"

"Have fun with that," Dinah said, snickering. "I'm going on the school trip, I think. Staying would be pretty dull, and it's a little too soon to seem my sisters again."

Dinah grinned a little tiredly. "They would have liked you. They liked all my friends. Even the ones they cross-examined." She made a face and said, "There was talk of nunneries. I'm mostly sure Barbara was joking. Hey, do you have nunneries? All-female religious orders?"

"No? Why not?" Not that Dinah wanted to be a nun, either, but now she was curious.
