Rather than fly from Philadelphia to Baltimore, Eric's parents had given him a lift. They had offered to drive him directly to the school, but he told them he would rather meet the group at the airport and take the shuttle. That way he'd get an early glimpse at all the hot girls he was sure would be going to his new school.

So now he was relaxing in the lounge, drinking a soda and waiting. It wasn't going to college, but it would do.

"Oh? Royalty, are you, my lady?" asked Minsc, not even meaning to not call her princess, actually.

"Yes, royalty." Azula narrowed her eyes and tried to figure out if he was disrespecting her on purpose.

Nope! He had not a clue!

"Well," said Minsc, thoughtfully, "congratulations! You're in good company! There are at least a couple of outstanding princes in the school, too!"

In fact, there was something about this girl, something very obvious that he should be able to grasp, but couldn't, that was remind him an awful lot of Sir Arthur.

Ah, royalty.

The school had royalty? "From what kingdom?"

Perhaps they were royalty from the lesser kingdoms within the Earth Kingdom?

There was a bit of a pause.

"You know," Minsc said slowly, "I don't think I can for the life of me remember. There are so many different kingdoms and worlds around here, it's hard to keep them straight sometimes!"

"Worlds?" Azula prompted. "How do you mean, worlds?"

"You know," said Minsc, shrugging his big shoulders. "Worlds. Great big chunks of rock with stuff like life on them, floating around in space."

And, yes, there were gestures to help.

"Um," said Minsc, and held up his hamster. He even pointed to it. "Hello. Miniature giant space hamster, here."

Azula snorted. "Big deal, we have boar-q-pines and turtle ducks at home, giant hamsters are nothing."

He wasn't lying, he seemed to really believe in this whole nonsense. And if she wanted to speak to crazy people all she need do is remain in the asylum.

"I only have to take your word that you're hamster is from space."
