Rather than fly from Philadelphia to Baltimore, Eric's parents had given him a lift. They had offered to drive him directly to the school, but he told them he would rather meet the group at the airport and take the shuttle. That way he'd get an early glimpse at all the hot girls he was sure would be going to his new school.

So now he was relaxing in the lounge, drinking a soda and waiting. It wasn't going to college, but it would do.

"Oh my god, that is so cool. You're a badass," Kelly said, wide-eyed. "Like Bruce Willis. But a girl! And not looking like Bruce Willis? 'Cause he's like, old, and a man. And you're not either of those things!"

"Psh. As if I'd want to be either of those things." This girl had gone from being mildly annoying to a bonus to the ego that really didn't need any stroking. Kennedy was totally a badass. She liked it when people recognized that.

(She was probably in for so much disappointment.)

"So. What's your deal? I mean, why'd you get sent here?"
