BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Rather than fly from Philadelphia to Baltimore, Eric's parents had given him a lift. They had offered to drive him directly to the school, but he told them he would rather meet the group at the airport and take the shuttle. That way he'd get an early glimpse at all the hot girls he was sure would be going to his new school.

So now he was relaxing in the lounge, drinking a soda and waiting. It wasn't going to college, but it would do.

"All yours," Didi said, moving her hands away from the box. "I'm Didi, by the way. Nice to meet you."

"Hayley," she said, breaking off a piece of roll for herself. "You get sent to this new school, too?"

"In a way," Didi said. "You didn't want to come? How come?"

"Well, this is a school for bad people, right?" Hayley said, having the utter wrong impression. "I never did anything wrong."

"I thought it was just a school," Didi said. "I didn't hear anything about bad people."

She didn't really believe in bad people.

"Well all I know is they plan to impress me there," Hayley said. "So that I'm a good girl. Which I already am!"

"I don't think I said you weren't..." Didi said, fingers brushing over her ankh.

"Oh, you didn't," Hayley said. "But the people that sent me here sure seemed to think it."

Didi took another bite of cinnamon bun and wished she had something to drink. "Who sent you here?"

"Gotham City Police Department," Hayley said with a nod. "They kinda make a mistake, that's all."
