BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Rather than fly from Philadelphia to Baltimore, Eric's parents had given him a lift. They had offered to drive him directly to the school, but he told them he would rather meet the group at the airport and take the shuttle. That way he'd get an early glimpse at all the hot girls he was sure would be going to his new school.

So now he was relaxing in the lounge, drinking a soda and waiting. It wasn't going to college, but it would do.

There were many things that Cordelia Chase just did not do, and one of them was traveling lightly. She made her way through the doorway into the shuttle waiting area, some poor, beleaguered porter following behind her, pushing a cart stacked high with luggage.

"Just leave it there," Cordelia told him as she waved toward a clear space by a seat. She tipped him a measly two singles and ignored the glare she received in return as he headed out the door. It was only after he had left that she turned to look at the others around her.

"Oh, Daddy really should have sprung for a limo," she said out loud, not caring who overheard her.

Oooh, another pretty girl.

Eric walked over and grinned. "Need a hand?"

Cordelia looked the guy over and decided that he would do for now. "Yes. Can you carry these to the shuttle for me when it gets here?"

"Sure thing," Eric said. Because she was pretty. "I'm Eric."

"Cordelia Chase." She looked around and decided maybe this place would be better than she thought. At least the guys were cute. "Are you a new student?"

Eric nodded. "You too?"

"For just this year. I'm thinking about attending Cal State next year."

"Oh, yeah? Where's that?" Eric asked.

Cordy paused long enough to direct a 'WTF?' look at Eric. "California."

"Cool!" Eric said. "I'm hoping that I can get into college somewhere next year."

"Well, what did you get on your SATs? Because if your score is high enough, you can get in anywhere."

"Uh... they weren't that high," Eric said.

"Well, I'm sure there's a great community college in your future, Aaron." Cute but stupid men. What was it with her and cute but stupid men?

"Eric," he corrected. "And Feeny thinks I can get into a four year college."

"Would you be...sharing that limo?" Cal asked, arching an eyebrow.

Rich and spoiled. Not a redhead, but two out of three was not bad at all.

"Of course not," Cordelia informed the boy. "You do realize that the seventies went out of fashion before they were even over, don't you?"

"The seventies are totally coming back," Cal informed her, with a grin at the joke that he knew he was the only one to get right now, but he didn't care. He nodded at her suitcases. "Want any help with your stuff?"

"Oh god, I hope not," Cordelia replied as she shuddered at the thought of polyester. "And that would be great. I doubt... Eric? I think that's his name. I think he may need some help with them."

Oh, so she already had help from some other sucker already? This changed things a bit. He was planning on just sort of hauling them around roughly, knocking the cases against stuff a little to see if she got angry and then apologize if she did, but now he was going to try a different tack.

"Okay," he said. "Five bucks." And then looked at the girl expectantly.

Cordelia looked over at Eric, who was apparently not that bright and then looked back at Cal. "I'll give you ten if you can keep that one from losing anything of mine. Or stealing anything."

That was still less than what it had cost her to tip the bellboy at the hotel.

Cal followed the girl's eyes toward Eric before they returned to her with a grin.

"Make it fifteen," he offered, "and you've got a deal."

That was still more than what Cal had in his wallet right now.

Cordelia quickly pulled the money from her purse and handed it to Cal. "Deal."

Sweet. Cal grinned, taking the money and pocketing it. Easy cash for relatively easy work, he hoped. "Pleasure doing business with you, ma'am."
