BWI Portalocity Terminal [Saturday Morning]

Rather than fly from Philadelphia to Baltimore, Eric's parents had given him a lift. They had offered to drive him directly to the school, but he told them he would rather meet the group at the airport and take the shuttle. That way he'd get an early glimpse at all the hot girls he was sure would be going to his new school.

So now he was relaxing in the lounge, drinking a soda and waiting. It wasn't going to college, but it would do.

Azula studied him before answering, "Yes."

"Then I'm in the right place," Anakin said. He hadn't doubted it, really, but it was a nice opening for conversation. "Please bring your bags and follow me."

Azula might be used having other people cater to her whims but she was also a soldier. Though it galled her she followed him. The man seemed commanding and more suited to battle.

"Are you one of the instructors?"

"I am," Anakin replied, nodding. "I teach ethics."

She hadn't looked at her classes yet but knowing her brother this was one of the classes he signed her up for. And if this was her instructor it would server her well to be at her best behavior.

"I think I'm in your class," Azula said, using behavior she used when speaking in court. "I'm Azula, Crown Princess of the Fire Nation."

Fire Lord should have been her title but her brother took it from her.

Anakin nodded his head gravely. "Your highness. I have not yet seen my final list of students."

Azula shrugged, "It's no matter to me. Is the school far from here?"

If she's not in the class that would serve Zuko right.

"Not very," he said.

Not the way he drove, anyway.

"Good," she said, satisfied. "I have been on an airship for longer than I care for. I don't think another hour in a stuffy vehicle would be comfortable."

"I've heard of airships," Anakin said, pleased that Zack had mentioned them.

Granted, different world, but Anakin didn't know that.

"I'm a pilot, too."

"Of airships?" Azula said, not really seeing the value in that. They were big balloons and one easily maneuverable. How was that impressive?

"Of all ships," he replied a little icily.

"Like boats?" Azula returned, she wasn't trying to goad the teacher but it was an automatic reaction for her.

"Mostly spaceships," Anakin replied.

"You're joking," Azula said, flatly. "It's not possible there's no technology for it yet."

"I never joke," Anakin said. "Ask anyone. I'm known for my complete lack of humor."

Yes, he didn't seem to be lying but she'll let this pass.

"No sense of humor? You remind me of my brother," she said with a slight smile.

"What's his name?" Anakin asked, not expecting that he would know it.

"Zuko," not expecting him to know it. It's not as if Zuko was Fire Lord for very long. He wasn't and Ozai or an Azulon, both great men whose names were familiar everywhere.

Anakin blinked. He was sure he'd heard that name back when Luke had been a student. "Interesting," he said.

"Interesting?" Azula repeated. That wasn't the reaction she expected.

"Is it a common name?" he asked. "But it's also a very large universe. Perhaps there was another Zuko."

"Not really," she said. "Although, I suppose it is a big world."

She wouldn't be surprised if the other Zuko was also as spastic as her brother.

"There was a student named Zuko here a few years ago," Anakin replied. "I didn't know him well."

"Really? I wish I could have met him and compared notes," Azula smirked. No one else could be as lame as her Zuko.
