Photography [Week Seven]

When the students entered, they would discover an array of pastries along with coffee, tea and water set out in the back of the room.

"Today's our last day," Veronica said. "Let's hit the darkroom first and develop your last batch of photos. Then everyone can display their best one and we can enjoy a treat while we discuss the emotions you were trying to convey in your photographs."

"I am often in need of prodding," Harry said. "Even with prodding I haven't yet learned How Not To Be A Hermit."

"You're a hermit?" Veronica asked.

"Pretty much," Harry admitted. "Someday I may even have my own cave. But I'll probably need an office if I want to explore wizardly PI activities. I'm just not much good at socializing."

"Offices are good, yeah," Veronica said. "And being social isn't necessarily a requirement for being a good detective."

"Hard to detect if I spend all my time hermiting," Harry pointed out. "But with prodding, or if someone lures me out with pizza, I might somehow get things done."

"Seriously though," Harry said finally, "it's definitely something to think about. Better than my plan to wander aimlessly."

"Well, if you wanna get in some training or something, you could always come out to LA," Veronica offered.

Harry thought this could be fun and possibly even useful.

"You heading back there now you're done with the teaching gig?"

"After Disneyland this weekend, yeah," Veronica said. "And my, uh... husband... is going to be moving in."

Yes, that was a little backwards.

"I could never live down the guilt if I broke the rides in Disneyland and subsequently broke the hearts of hordes of small children."

Veronica smirked. "Okay, fair point. I would not be pleased if we had to deal with screaming brats all weekend."

"They'll still be screaming," Harry said. "This way I just know it won't be my fault."

"They would probably scream a lot more if you brought all the rides to a screeching halt," Veronica pointed out.
