Creative Writing [Tuesday, 5th Period]

Rick was visibly excited as the class entered the room. Seats were set up in a semi-circle facing a central chair.

"Afternoon, kids," Rick said cheerfully as he stragglers arrived. "I trust you're all ready to present your stories to the rest of the class. If not, you've got the next ten minutes to get yourselves ready."

Gesturing to the central seat, he continued. "Each of you is going to take a turn to read out your story and the rest of you are going to listen politely, which means no writing, talking, or goofing off. At the end of the class, you'll have a chance to mingle and comment on each other's work. There will be pizza."

He clapped his hands together. "So who wants to go first?"

Re: Present Your Stories: Emma Frost - CW [Week Seven]

Emma was composed and confident as she started off on her story about a rising young football star who'd just been drafted to the major leagues, his deep crisis of faith in his own abilities, and choosing to trust in the support of his teammates. It was very uplifting, technically researched, and featured a tension-filled triangle between the rookie, the tight end, and the horse-training psychic that the coach had employed to try and boost morale.

It was also completely loaded with innuendo, double entendres, and allusions, all of which Emma delivered with a perfectly sweet and innocent expression.
