Creative Writing [Tuesday, 5th Period]
Rick was visibly excited as the class entered the room. Seats were set up in a semi-circle facing a central chair.
"Afternoon, kids," Rick said cheerfully as he stragglers arrived. "I trust you're all ready to present your stories to the rest of the class. If not, you've got the next ten minutes to get yourselves ready."
Gesturing to the central seat, he continued. "Each of you is going to take a turn to read out your story and the rest of you are going to listen politely, which means no writing, talking, or goofing off. At the end of the class, you'll have a chance to mingle and comment on each other's work. There will be pizza."
He clapped his hands together. "So who wants to go first?"

Re: Present Your Stories: Eleanor Robinson - CW [Week Seven]
The story that unraveled was the tale of a strong, eager young man who changed dramatically after suffering during the war. Injured in both mind and spirit, he pushed others away, closing himself off to the rest of the world.
But just when it seemed he would be lost forever, fate stepped in the form of a helpless friend which drove him to rejoin the world. In saving someone else, he ultimately saved himself and became stronger than he ever thought possible.
