Library (And Support Services): Saturday Morning

This time there was breakfast food out - maybe not the best breakfast food since it was a donation from McMooby's, but at least there was protein in it. And the Perk had sent along one of those giant business-meeting coffee dispensers.

Up at a table near the front, there was a notebook with neat (if extremely somewhat girly) handwriting that detailed what had been found so far: sunlight, holy water, stakes, a device under the school that controls the island... it was all there. What they didn't have, of course, was anything to tell them where to send the other island, or how, or any guarantee the people over there could do anything with the information. Assuming the other Fandom even had everything in it that this one did.

So. Piles of books on the tables. Yes. Lots and loooots of books.

[OOC: OPEN! Research post two, ends just before noon because that's when volunteers will be scurrying over to Town Hall to get the collected info to the last of the non-comatose sleepers!]

Mina eyed the McMooby's breakfast food with a slightly disdainful eye.

"...people of this time actually eat this?"

"It seems quite... greasy," Mina said. "I am from a century past."

"It seems almost as if someone was attempting to cram a most of a full English breakfast onto a bun," Mina said. "...Which removes a little of the charm, I think. But I suppose I should not be surprised."

"I have been... reticent to try much of what modern food has to offer," Mina admitted. "I am a woman with simple tastes."

"Indeed," Mina said. "Time is of the essence, assuredly. I myself have been known to bake a rather delicious figgy pudding."

The food tasted . . . not very much like food at all, which wasn't stopping Gabrielle from scarfing it down and washing it down with heavily sugared coffee.

Her neck still itched. STUPID BACCHAE.

Triela had had a sudden realization sitting around Town Hall. If she was going to fall asleep permanently like everyone else, which was seeming more and more likely, it would be useful to have whatever the most recent intelligence was. And apparently the whole analysis operation was being run out of the library.

Which explained why Triela slammed into the library at a sprint. She needed to talk to someone who knew something useful before the coma crept up on her.

You couldn't not notice the kind of racket that made in the library, and Gabrielle glanced up. "Hey, can you keep that down?"

"I'm in something of a," Triela paused to yawn hugely, "hurry. I sort of suspect I'm going to pass out soon, and I was thinking it might be useful to know what's going on. Or at least what the current best guess is."

"We're putting it together now," Gabrielle said. "You've been one of the people falling asleep a lot too, haven't you?"

Triela nodded, which was interrupted by a yawn. "What have you got so far," she asked, blinking rapidly and trying to stay awake.

Suddenly she was feeling a lot more tired than a simple sprint from town hall should have left her.

Luckily, Gabrielle could talk fast when she had a mind to, and a mind like a steel trap when she was properly focused -- which she had been, on all the information that had been put together so far.

"Stay with me for a few more minutes. This is what we know so far," she told Triela, launching into as detailed an explanation as she could of what they'd come up with. Reaching for a piece of paper with some figures scribbled on it in convenient English she handed it over, saying, "I don't know what exactly 'coordinates' means, but I'm hoping you do."

"Map coordinates," Triela nodded. "Interesting."

"Is there anything else I should--?" Triela cut off with a thump as she fell over.

". . . oh, boy." Gabrielle looked down at the sleeping girl. "I really hope that's all you needed."

Someone was going to have to get her to town hall, and Gabrielle was usually the one who got carried places unconscious. Oh, wait, that's Tahiri. Except oh wait, it's Gabrielle too. First time for everything, she supposed. "Um. Please don't be too heavy, okay? Please?"

Ellie did not think this was a very healthy breakfast, but it would do. She was starving after the long night of research.

Kyle had slept in the library, holed up for a few hours in remote dark place with his back to the wall. The smell of food drew him out and he helped himself to a sandwich.

Alex snagged some food and coffee, not really caring about the nutrition value.
