Driver's Ed [Thursday, Week 4, Period 5]

The Danger Shop was set up to look like the racetrack again, and there was a tent for the class to gather under, which they would probably want to use since it was pouring rain. Real rain, not condoms.

"As much as we all might hope to be able to drive only in good weather, sometimes, one must drive in less pleasant conditions. Take the cars out and try to get around without slipping or sliding or crashing. It might not be as simple as you think."

It would have been one thing for the car to slow down, but when it stopped completely, Ziva frowned deeply and headed out to the track, seemingly uncaring about the rain. When she opened the door, she gasped at the sight of Dinah, but when she saw that she was breathing, Ziva's training kicked in and she realized she was just sleeping. The breathing was a good sign; the fact that Dinah wouldn't wake up was not, and Ziva pulled her out of the car and brought her back to the tent, laying her down so she could keep an eye on her. She'd met some deep sleepers before, but this took the pie. Or something like that.

Another fifteen minutes or so later, Dinah opened her eyes, totally disoriented. "Again?" she mumbled, rubbing her eyes, looking around. Whoops. "Oh. Hi, Ms. David. Sorry."

"Hello Dinah," Ziva said, crouching down. "Again, you said? Are you all right?"

Dinah shook her head, more in bewilderment than denial. "I fell asleep in D--- a shop, yesterday. Just thunk. And I keep dozing off." She looked over at the cars, surprised. "Did I fall asleep while I was driving?"

Ziva nodded. "I had to retrieve you from the car. Have you seen one of the doctors about this? It does not sound as if you are well."

"No," Dinah said, sounding uncertain. "Karla said I wasn't sick, but... maybe I will tonight. After work." She gave Ziva a guilty smile. "Can't hurt, right?"
