Criminal Justice: Wednesday

Gibbs had left word for the entire class to meet him at the Main Campfire for today's class, rain or shine, however Gibbs was no where to be seen.

A few minutes later Gibbs was marching through the campfire shouting at everyone to get their gear.

"You took this course for a reason," Gibbs said trying to herd everyone to the danger shop. "So get your butts moving and get to the danger shop... thing."

Yes. He knew class would end up in the shop. He felt a little exercise helped with the whole training thing.

"Which a construction team was in the process of tearing down some old naval housing units they found a body hidden in an underground bunker with a tunnel leading to one of the houses. Since it was found on a Navy base, we are being called in to investigate."

"Before you enter the crime scene you will learn and obey Rule #3. Always wear rubber gloves at a crime scene. Even though this is underground, you can expect to find a lot of items there. You will bag and tag everything of interest. Before you put a piece of evidence you will have one of your teammates take a picture of the evidence along with a numerical marker and a corresponding L-scale for reference. The room will be measured with every object taken a picture of for a possible recreation at a later time."

Before he opened the doors he looked back at his students. "Just so you know? It's not a pretty scene. If you can't handle it feel free to step out."

He opened the doors to the danger show revealing the interior of an abandoned ammunition bunker. The room was decorated in what appeared to be a room straight out of the 1950s. In the middle of the room was the body of a mummified woman wearing a wedding dress that was chained to the bed.

"There is no identifying information on the body," Gibbs began. "Last time someone was living in the house which was connected to this room via a tunnel was two months ago. That person only lived there thirty days and before that it was vacant. The victim is in a mummified condition and most likely was dead before the tenant lived in the house. I need this entire room fingerprinted. We need to measure the room and take a picture of each artifact before we have it removed from the crime scene. This is an unstable area due to the contruction going on so it means we have to move quickly. Next week we'll go over the evidence and see what it tells us."

Gibbs then went through a brief demonstration of each item in their evidence kits and how and why it was used.

When he was done he clapped his hands together to punctuate that he was done. "All right. Get started. Let's go!"

The OOC: To make things a little different, clues will be discovered randomly by students in the evidence searching threads. I'll be using good ol' RNG to determine which students find what.
