Strategy Game; Period Five; Friday 07.10.09
"Um, hello," Reid said, once his students were assembled. "I'm Dr. Spencer Reid, and if you're here, you... signed up for my class on strategic board games. If you didn't sign up, but you want to be part of the class anyway, stick around, and talk to me after class." He swallowed, and looked around the class again.
"We're... Not going to do much today, ah, just. Introduce yourself, and tell the class about your favourite game. After that, feel free to um, have fun," he said, gesturing to the board games that sat on each table.
"Ah, also, I'm looking for a TA. If you're interested, please see me after class."
((ooc: TA has already been decided, but you're welcome to talk to Reid about it anyway.))
((plz wait for OCD!))
((OCD up!))

"All right," she said as she turned the board and considered her first move. She made it after about a minute.

"Did you ever read Marcellus Masters’s Practical First Aid and Surgical Guide?"
Maybe they knew some of the same books?
Re: Talk to Reid
Blink.
Blink.
"I've heard of it, but I've never found a copy. It's-- You've read it? Really?"
Re: Talk to Reid
"I have it in my room. My brother and I had to read it when we were little so we'd know what to do if something came up."
Re: Talk to Reid
Re: Talk to Reid
"Sure. It's kind of old, though, so you have to be careful with it."

Re: Talk to Reid
"My mother gave it to me. Me and Eliot. Our whole apartment was always full of books. Most of them are older than fifty years old and we learned how to take care of them when we were little."
And Cee had told her to take it, just in case.

"I told you. It was kind of weird."

Fiona was a warrior. Some things came to her naturally.
"He who is prudent and lies in wait for an enemy who is not, will be victorious," she noted, mostly to herself. In Chinese.
Re: Talk to Reid
"Afraid I don't speak Chinese," he said, absently taking two more of her pieces, and putting another of his in reach of her back row.
Re: Talk to Reid
Glance up. She'd actually just been quoting to herself.
"Er, sorry. Nothing important."
She took out the piece, and one more.

"Thank you."
