BWI - Portalocity Lounge [Friday Morning]

Chloe got off her flight from New York and followed the signs to the lounge. She dumped the duffle bag of clothes that Andrew had hastily purchased on the floor and slumped into one of the uncomfortable airport chairs.

She was still against this plan but she realized on the flight that sulking wouldn't make it any better so she was going to put on a brave face and make the most of it.

"Actually I'm more of a fan of Ayn Rand and the occasional Danielle Steel novels," Layla replied honestly as she offered bruiser her hand to sniff. "Something wrong?"

"Oh." Elle has read Danielle Steel a time or two. "Well. I just. How do you know all that stuff? Meeting people you haven't met, your future husband. What's an AU? Would you like to hold him? He's super friendly."

"Oh, I know stuff because I'm Layla Miller," she said cheerfully reaching out for Bruiser and to give him. "And AU is short for alternate universe. Don't worry, it's a lot like dealing with foreign exchange students at first. You'll figure it out."

"Right, you said that," she replied and handed Bruiser over. "Oh!" Elle perked up. "I'm super excited to meet exchange students." She just didn't know they were referred to something else entirely at Fandom, though it made sense the more she thought about it. Like a code word!

"What else do you know, Layla?"

"Oh, lots of stuff," Layla said scratching Bruiser behind his ears. "It's who I am. And don't worry, all the students are excited to meet you as well."

She sucked in air. "You're saying that to make me feel good!" Clearly it worked because Elle was beaming.

"What a clever talent!" This girl was super cute and so happy. It didn't matter that she said funny things; Elle just knew they were going to be friends!
