BWI - Portalocity Lounge [Friday Morning]

Chloe got off her flight from New York and followed the signs to the lounge. She dumped the duffle bag of clothes that Andrew had hastily purchased on the floor and slumped into one of the uncomfortable airport chairs.

She was still against this plan but she realized on the flight that sulking wouldn't make it any better so she was going to put on a brave face and make the most of it.

Think about Sam! Think about Sam! Think about Sam! Danny was repeating in his head. He wasn't going as far as undressing, but he was definitely thinking that he could start becoming a redhead man. Hoo boy. Okay. She's a classmate, not a supermodel. Go say hi, Danny.

He finally approached, and squeaked, "Hi!" A cough, and then, in his normal voice, "I'm Danny Fenton. Are you attending Fandom as well?"

Jean smiled, far more at home with that than people picturing her naked. "I am, I'm Jean. Jean Grey."

"Nice to meet you," Danny replied. "Are you new to the school too? Or are you a returning student?"

"New, actually. It was a little short notice and I think this was the only place available."

Other than Bayville. Where she actually wanted to be.

"Oh man," Danny said, feeling sympathetic. "I think my parents sent me to school to get me away from my girlfriend."

Although the daily reporters and paparazzi at the door were probably a good part of it too, his sarcastic inner voice reminded him.

"Yeah," he said, thinking longingly of Sam as he did. "Things were getting kind of big for two fourteen-year-olds. Her parents were starting to tweak."

Oh, Jean was a sucker for romance. "Can you keep in touch with her?"

"Oh, yeah," Danny said. "We both have webcams built into our computers, so we'll probably just chat at night when we're both done with school stuff for the day. And email pictures back and forth. Things like that."

And if things get really bad, he thought, I can always just fly there. Or maybe there's a Ghost Portal around here, that I can use to get to Amity Park... nah, I don't have that kind of luck.

"Um. That's very sweet," She said, recovering as best she could.

"Well, for Sam, it's worth it," Danny replied, stoutly. "She deserves every moment of time I can give to her, even if I'm not in the same time zone any more."
