As the class headed in today, they'd find the usual clearing set up in the Danger Shop had a little village near it this time, though they were on its outskirts, with the usual choices of weaponry and armourments available to the students. Minsc clasped his hands together with a loud sound to get things started.

"Hullo!" he said. "It is our last day! So let's do some rangering!"

He made a sweeping gesture toward the village. "Random Village here has been having some problems! These problems seem to be of a distinctly creature-like manner, making you, as a ranger, before for the task of vanquishing it! From here, you are on your own! ....Unless you decide to partner up, you can do that too, or even work in a group if you'd like! I like groups of six myself. But! From here, you can go into the village and ask around for clues on what is happening. Or you may stay here in the woods and put your tracking skills to use! Or both! It never hurts to use all the resources available to you!"

"I will tell you one thing," Minsc said, "the source of this problem has with it a treasure! The point of the final, then, if to find the source, stop the problem, find the treasure, and then bring it back to me. If you do not find the treasure, but have a grand story of adventure instead, that is also acceptable."

"Now go forth!" he barked. "And ranger away!"

And, of course, there is great wilderness! Sometimes, what you see around you can give you just as many clues, especially if you've got your sharp rangering skills available! Do some exploring in the woods to look for what kind of activity might have been going on in the area.

What you do is moddable; clues, however, shall come in pings.

Eric wasn't what one would call a tracker. To be fair, that wasn't a skill he was trying to use at the given moment: in fact, he was making as much noise as he could, trying to draw attention to himself.

How else was he going to get kidnapped by orcs?

It might have helped if maybe he was picking flowers, but, even without that virginal activity that might have attracted them, the air was soon filled with a menacing growling and prowling and a big orc stepped forward.

"Me will crush you!"

Eric screamed -- and no, it wasn't entirely an act -- and then said, "Please don't eat me!"

If it looked like the orc was considering what Eric had said, then Eric was a really hopeful thinking.

"You come with me!" he said, and helped Eric out with that by reaching over to grab the collar of his shirt and pick him up.

Eric yelped and flailed at this, but he'd taken enough of a hold on his emotions that it was mostly an act at this point. "Where are you taking me?" he demanded.

"To the cave (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/2156549.html?thread=139034885#t139034885)!" the orc growled menacingly, stomping off with Eric still dangling from his hand.
