Journalism Class - Thursday October 13

Spider is sitting at his desk, watching the cat with morbid fascination as it brings him another frog. There are four of them on the desk already and judging by the noises created as it dives beneath one of the student desks, there will shortly be five. Distracted by the advent of his students, he waves a hand at them.

"As you know, Parent's Weekend is coming up. I've been informed that it's customary to have something to show your parents when they show up so that they're under the continued, mistaken impression that the money they're paying for your enrollment is actually being put to good use. Today I want to hear suggestions as to what sort of project the Journalism students could do in order to impress their collective parents, guardians, parole officers or 'other' when they arrive." Spider smiled maliciously at his students.

Rising to his feet, he went to the back of the classroom and leaned over the velvet rope separating the Newspaper section from the rest of the room and filled a cup with coffee. "Now, along those same lines, later today I'll be posting next week's homework assignment. As previously stated, this will be group projects and will require photographs. I'm thinking of groups of no more than four, unless we end up with an odd number, and I will," his eyes glinted as he looked over the top of his glasses, "fail anyone who does not contribute to the efforts of the group. Start working on your cooperation skills, kids. Your grade may depend on it."

He blinks, surprised. "A reaction? What kind?" Krycek smirks humorlessly as he begins to get it. "Reactions aren't logical and they're hardly ever pure. Is this about the dare?" His voice is still low and he seems a bit resigned, if unhappy about it.

Man, they're all dead by now! Amazons - Krycek = no more Amazons.

D'anna looks up and raises an eyebrow cautiously, "A second one, yeah." Her brow wrinkles and the light-bulb flicks on. Her face a mix of relief and disbelief, "You already know? About the Jake-Rory thing?"

At Fandom High? All things are possible, Frogboy.

Krycek nods once, mouth quirking slightly. "Unfortunately. I'm not happy about it, but since we'd just got done fighting about my part in all this, I didn't want to strain things worse than they already were." He sighs and glances over at where Jake seems to be approaching Rory and Logan. "Shit - I'd better go see." He gives D'anna another humorless smile. "I said I wanted to be there." He stands, but before he leaves, he looks at D'anna with a faint, sincere smile. "Thanks for the warning, anyway."

Please stop reminding me? I'm already paranoid enough...

"Welcome." She gave a her own quick nod, cheeks pink with embarrassment. She felt foolish. Not something she was fond of. Her gaze followed his to the other side of the classroom. As he walked away, she said softly under her breath, "good luck, Alex. Hope he's worth it."

When he was gone, she grabbed her rucksack, pushed out of her seat and was quickly out the door. She was getting off this train before it hit the end of the line.
