Today Marshall had everyone meet out by the volleyball nets on the beach.

Guess what they were going to do today?

"If the nets weren't a dead giveaway, today we're going to play volleyball. It's a pretty simple game and we're not even going to be playing the serious business volleyball with the rotations and crap they make you play in gym." That always confused him. "Volleyball is a good way to show off your athletic prowess to people you're attracted to and it's an excuse to nail people you don't like with a hard ball. Not dirty."

Marshall spent a couple minutes going over the rules of the game for those who weren't familiar with it before breaking out a whistle from his pocket and blowing it loudly. "Okay! So I've been told that I get kind of, well, insane coaching things so I'm not going to make you all play an actual game. I just have the whistle out because they're fun to blow. Not dirty."

"I just want you split up into pairs and practice serving and hitting the balls to each other. Not dirty," he said. God, what was with the dirty lecture today? "After you've worked up a sweat feel free to take a dip in the ocean."

He blew the whistle again for funsies. "Let's get going!"

Until he had a partner, Edward was practicing with a ball. And this was made so much easier by the fact that his face was completely healed and his nose no longer crooked!

"Edward!" Adora exclaimed, "Why, you're looking just like yourself again!"

"Oh, Adora! I am, indeed," he beamed and moved in close for a quick kiss. "Ino healed me and it was fabulously tingly!"

She smiled, pleased he was much better. "I'm so glad you went to the clinic. That was very responsible." Hannibal had certainly not done so.

"I agree. That, and living with a crooked nose was just so unbecoming," he replied. "Have you seen... him lately?" Edward was not above gloating if Hannibal still looked rough.

"I do believe he is in this very class," Adora replied with a worried face. "You're not going to do anything, are you, Edward?" She would attempt to distract him away from such thoughts as Hannibal had alluded to her not being allowed to intervene should they battle.

Edward was sort of fishing. He wanted to know if she had specifically spent time with Hannibal. But he would not ask. That would imply he was interested in Hannibal. Which he was not. Not at all. Nope.

"Do anything, Adora?" He feigned innocence.

"That is exactly what I want to hear," Adora told him, and his false innocence earned him a pat on the arm because she took it for truth.

He grinned at her. It wasn't his fault Hannibal provoked him everytime he saw him. "And if I'm provoked?" he asked, thinking it would be best to hear her opinion on that.

"And if you're provoked?" She returned the question to him in what was likely a very She-Ra move.

"Um... I will walk away?" he tried, wanting to please her.

He couldn't see himself doing it, but he could easily make Adora think it. At least he thought he was that smart.

She smiled brightly, he'd learned ever so much! "I trust you will always do the right thing, Edward."

Deluded girl.

He beamed. "But of course, my dear sweet one. I am certain there are other ways to settle our disagreement."

There wasn't, no.

"Have I mentioned how lovely you look today? Extremely lovely."

"I do enjoy the opportunity to wear beach clothing," Adora informed him, happily distracted by ensuring there was no lingering sand on her swimwear. "And I must say, seeing it on you boys is no horrid fate!"

Ah, and wasn't he happily distracted by watching her distraction. "Do you need help? Sand can be terribly... itchy I've learned."

Wait.

"Boys? As in more than myself?"

Oops? She blushed, "No, of course not! I have eyes only for you, my prince."

'My prince'! He blushed himself at that endearment, distracted easily from the looking at other boys that certainly she could not be doing. "As I only have eyes for you." Adora was incredible, with her perfect brea-

He glanced around quickly to see if anyone was looking at her, Hannibal, because he would have to take care of that, wouldn't he?

"I hope your eyes don't grow tired of looking." It probably wouldn't be a good idea to tell him of all the boys who ogled She-Ra's chest at the bar the other night. Adora kept that to herself and smiled.

"They might," he replied, narrowing his eyes in a certain direction before he turned back to his lovely girl. "You should tell me when any man is being less than gentlemanly with their eyes, Adora. I shall take care of them at once."

A beat.

"Promise?"

Oh dear. "Did we not just have a conversation about you not taking care of people that way? Bring them tea when ill, certainly, but no fists to the side of the head."

But. But. "But... if they disrespect you by looking at-" he vaguely gestured towards her incredible bosom and was distracted for some odd number of seconds "-your obvious, uh, beauty, then is it okay to take care of them?"

Adora looked down to note what exactly he was staring at and sighed. "No."

"Why not?"

"Because you don't need to protect me from people, Edward. Especially if all they are doing is looking." She could deal with them on her own terms.

Sigh. "If you are certain."

He supposed he could only deal with so many broken noses. Or giving them. Yes, he would give someone a broken nose next time.

"I've not seen her lately. Is she well?" he asked, changing topics.
