[OOC: Everyone in the class (except Cam who is not officially in yet) must take this test or be dropped from the class. If you have no desire to actually do it, by all means, just comment saying that you took it. Class Info Link.]
*Tick is sitting at his desk. The tests are sitting on his desk. The students are to relocate a test to their desks, transcribe their answers, and return them to Tick's desk.*
Hello, students! Take your time with this test! It's pretty tough!
1. Multiple Choice: Crime is _____.
a) Good b) Bad c) Spoon d) None of the above
2. Short Answer: Who wrote Justinian's Corpus Iuris Civilis?
3. Fill In The Blank: _____ is your best weapon.
4. Short Essay: How is crime like a polar bear?
5. Hypothetical Situation Short Essay: A thief steals $20 from a man. That man, now without any money, wanders around for a while and eventually decides to rob somebody else for train fare. no subject
2) Corpus Iuris Civilis was assembled by committee under the direction of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I.
3) My mind is my best weapon.
4) Crime is like a polar bear because even if it looks harmless and sweet, it's still dangerous to mess with.
5) Assuming I had the whole story and reason to believe it, it would depend which man complained to me. If it were the first thief, I'd arrest him. The second - I'd probably let him go, if he was apologetic. Though I'd tell him that he should've come to me in the first place, because being robbed does not justify robbing someone else, and if he'd robbed anyone but the original thief, he would've been in a lot of trouble.
And extra credit: This test is the garnish on the plate of Criminal Justice studies.
