Management Theory [Tuesday, April 21, 4th period]

"It is time for your final examinations!" Yzma cackled over the sound of crashing thunder. She was really pulling out all the stops for the last class, yeah.

"Today you will encounter a series of scenarios that managers so often face! " she told them. Except that no sane manager ever would, no.

"If you answer correctly, you will progress to the next question! If you answer incorrectly, you will drop through a trap door and be forced to fight an aquatic animal! And then move on! Assuming you are not eaten, of course."

She clapped her hands together and the Danger Room shifted. "Begin!"

Agnes's incredible hair was made much, much less incredible by the seaweed tangled in it and the tiny little crab that fell out onto the floor. But she had a smile on her face.

"You look awfully nice today, big brother."

"Agnes! Dude, I think I failed the final!" Toby wasn't entirely sure what that meant to his ability to graduate. "Do you think they'll hold me back?"

"Don't worry; I imagine they're pretty lenient with that sort of thing," Agnes told him. "Besides, I don't think they're even capable of holding someone like you back."

Someone as pretty as him could get away with just about anything he wanted to. If Agnes didn't like Toby so much, it would have made her sick.

"Dude, you really think? Because I totally don't wanna take summer school." He was done with education. He had dreams to make come true!

"Even if it WAS a problem," Agnes told him, "I think failing this particular class translates to winning at life, anyways. I'm sure they'd take that into account." She gave him another smile. "No, you're not really the summer school type, are you?"

"Not unless the class is about cooking or hanging out on the beach," Toby grinned. "Which last summer, one sort of was..."

"That's not so much school as an activity," Agnes pointed out. "I can't imagine that you'd learn much. ...Not that we're learning much, here, either..."

"We totally learned how to remember which lever takes us to class," Toby reminded her. "And how awesome we can look in those white lab coats. I so should be a doctor."

"NO!" Agnes replied, a little too quickly. "I mean, no, you know what would be better? You should be an actor PLAYING a doctor. That would be so much more fun."

"Except for how I totes am not an actor," Toby reminded her. "I could like, make those hot coats be the uniform in my restaurant one day."

"That's just the thing!" Agnes told him with a smile. "That's a PERFECT idea!"

"You're really good at this," he told her. "Are you graduating, too?"

"No, not yet," she answered. "I was thinking I'd stay on a little longer. Are you heading right home after graduation?"

"Dude, I have like, no clue. Do they make you leave?" Toby wasn't quite sure how to get home, was the problem.

Agnes frowned at that. "I... don't know. I think some people stayed until the end of the summer, last year. It probably depends on what you want to do, but I don't see any graduates around anymore."

"True that," Toby agreed, recalling a bit of last summer. And Kevin. Oh Kevin.

"How hard was it for you to get to Fandom from your home?"

"Ummm... Pretty hard, actually, but I came a different way than most people. It seems like lots of people wind up here by accident."

"Me too! Sometimes I wonder if I just hung out underwater if I'd wake up in Dante's Cove."

Agnes looked worried by that. "Uh... Probably not a good idea. Maybe just try walking down the causeway, first? There are OTHER places you could wake up if you spend too long underwater."

Like the afterlife.
