Ethics [Tuesday, April 14, 2nd period]

"Now is the time to return the Woklings to me," Anakin said, gesturing to the tables that were at the front of the classroom. "I'll be taking them to their homeworld tonight."

Mostly because if he brought them back to the apartment, he'd probably end up adopting a few to stop Rory from giving him pleading eyes.

He clapped his hands together. "Very well. Tell me what you learned this week while caring for intelligent, sentient creatures who couldn't be stuck in a fridge or a closet, and if it served as an effective check on raging hormones. Actions always have consequences, be they as major as a baby--which I understand also invaded this weekend, so hopefully none of the Ewoks are dyed interesting colors--or as minor as rolling over in the morning and wondering what on Earth you were thinking the night before."

His frown deepened. "And speaking of the island producing children, where I was made a great grandfather yet again, something I am far too hot for, I will be repeating my terrifying educational lecture on sexual reproduction late this afternoon. If you know anyone who is a Skywalker, Solo, or managed to have a child that was a Skywalker or a Solo, tell them their attendance in mandatory."

Helen was a bit reluctant to give back her Ewok. She'd grown very attached to him. "I suppose a child is a great deal of responsibility. Still it would seem a worthwhile expenditure of energy."

"Well, yeah," she said, with a duh lurking in her tone. "And it's kinda difficult to do some things, and they eat up a lot of your time, but they're kinda worth it, if you're willing."

Smiles, and hugs, and silly chatter while talking them into bed, into clothing, out for fun made it worth it.

Chuck had picked up the wee Wokling from Victrola that morning and was very glad to see it was actually quite happy.

Being around boobies all weekend would do that to someone, human or not.

He still couldn't believe that those girls thought the Wokling was a kind of talking Australian dog though. He needed to hire smarter strippers.

"For the record, I always knew a child was a big responsibility," Chuck said. That's why he was careful, duh. He didn't wear condoms for fun. "But this has taught me that you can never pay a nanny enough money for her services."

Or strippers you temporarily hired as nannies. Whichever.

First she had to say goodbye to Jamie, now little Britney Shodu? Life wasn't fair, and Brooke was totally getting the most out of the last of her cuddle time.

"Can I have mine back?" Brooke asked.

Marco wasn't cursing the teacher out loud. That didn't stop him from doing it in his head. Loudly.

Joan had no idea who Chuck had gotten to baby sit their Wokling and after dealing with her three kids, didn't much care.

But she was glad to see the Wokling present and looking happy.

"The Wokling was easier than the kids," Joan said. "He didn't talk back. Or ask eighty billion questions."

Or come near to spilling her secrets.

"Uhhh, it was a really good reminder, yeah," Hurley said. "I mean, all of this really hits home that we're all kinda... young for the parent thing, right? And it's a lot of responsibility and you end up just staying in and stuff a lot."
