Library, Friday

Buffy wasn't going to prom, since she had one in Sunnydale to go to anyway, so she stopped in at the library as usual, figuring it'd be another slow day. Well, they were all slow days, but this time there was an excuse.

So imagine her surprise when she bumped into Brooke right outside, did the "Oh!" "Sorry, didn't see you there" "Out of my way, I have stuff to do" things, and they both promptly got bitten by a gremlin who'd been waiting just inside the library doors.

Which was why in case anyone did visit, they'd find Brooke and Buffy standing near the doors, watching the library and clapping, yelling, "GO SPARTANS! WOO!"

They were apparently watching something thrilling. Occasionally Craig would do a little jump clap or awesome to show his school spirit.

Cheering was such hard, rewarding work! Arianna needed water.

Third Period

Oh no. Arianna had seen her nemesis, Alexis.

"Alexis! I see you there, Alexis! I know you invited me to that party just to throw eggs at me but guess what? My mom said I couldn't go anyway!"

Oh, poor Arianna. If only she could find someone who'd really care about her... Craig leaned in, open-mouthed towards her.

"Craig, no!" Arianna cried. "We don't want to ruin it."

Lunch

You know what they needed? The perfect cheer.

Fourth Period

And that was about the time the gremlin bite wore off.

And Brooke was left staring at Buffy, trying to repress that she'd tried to open-mouth kiss her. "OhmygodIhaveappointmentstogetto."

And then there was fleeing.
