Ethics [Tuesday, March 31, Second period]

No Skywalker or other Jedi again this week. Instead there was a ninja and a story.

"Today we discuss a story about a sort of justice," Temari told the class dryly. "A king who has his own way of punishment and reward for guilt or innocence. The person accused had the choice of opening one of two doors to meet his fate. One held a tiger and the other held a woman to be married."

...yeah.

"Not exactly the reward I would like, but if one enjoyed that..." She shrugged. "The story is that the king's daughter fell in love with a man below her station, and--as punishment to him for this crime--he was forced to choose between the two doors. The princess knew which door held what and had the choice of which to tell him to pick. A stupid story if you ask me. They should have just run off before it got to that point."

Never mind that. "Break up into groups and decide what the princess told him to pick."

A note came in Chuck's direction.

You and Dean? Seriously?

Peter looked more curious than anything else.

There was a sigh and a dramatic roll of his eyes before Chuck even bothered reading the note. He had to let Peter know how he felt, you see. In the end he did answer it because, hi, he didn't want any weird powers used on him.

Yes. Seriously. It's not that big of a deal.

Peter ignored any signs of pouting on Chuck's behalf.

Another note came back.

It is to Sam. But that's not your fault.

Since supposedly Chuck cared about Sam's feelings. Peter wasn't sure he believed that yet but, being Peter, he gave Chuck the benefit of the doubt.

Oh for the love of god. Peter was such a girl. When Chuck, a man who wore pink whenever he could, came to this conclusion you know it must be true.

I'm aware of that. Somehow I don't think Sam is going to let that stop him from being pissed.

Not that he cared or anything.

Chuck glared over at Peter again and crumpled up the note, mumbling something that sounded remarkably like, "Oh bite me, Petrelli."
