Library; Monday [ 03/23 ].

Feeling relatively serene today, Cal came in and opened the library, nursing an overly sweetened cup of coffee as he got ready for the long day of sitting around and doing nothing. He'd taken a few notes on some pieces at the art gallery last night, and had decided that his occupation for the day would be trying to take those notes and turn them into...something else. Hopefully an article for the paper, since he'd failed on that one about fifty gazillion times this semester.

He wondered what Rikku would think about a piece regarding big giant pandas....

Cal's favorite piece had been the one of the girl with the army helmet and the tattoo, smoking and bandaged, but he found thinking of that one only left him sketching it a million times over (badly, at that), and wanting a smoke himself.

He remembered oil rigs and water towers, too, but any thoughts that came from that were hindered by his attempts to look busy organizing the books. It was second period, after all.

And then faceless umbrella girls lead to a start of a problematic story about zombies. Because how could a zombie bite you and eat your brain if they had no mouth?

Cal is out having that smoke he's wanted for hours now, so the library is open only to Dr. Jones and the other aides.

All efforts to compose any other great literary masterpieces was staved off by eating a sandwich and waiting for the period to be over so Cal could leave.

Suddenly in the library there was a rumbling sound coming from Special Collections.

The rumbling paused for a few moments and then rose to a loud pitch culminating in the doors to Special Collections bursting open and a man, covered in green slime, was spat out where he landed on the floor with a loud thud.

Indiana coughed a few times and wiped some green goo from his eyes. "Well, that was a smelly experience."

Cal arched an eyebrow at the librarian at the Special Collections doorway.

"Eventful weekend?" he guessed.

"Something like that," he muttered as he pulled himself to his feet. "I think I've learned my lesson not to let books go overdue."

Note to self: bring those books back in.

Cal pulled the collar of his shirt up a little over his nose. "What is that stuff?" he asked. He wasn't sure he actually wanted to know, though.

Indiana frowned as he wiped more off the stuff off his head. The goop oozed off his hand as he tried to keep it from falling on the floor.

"I don't know, kid. I just know I've been swimming in the stuff for at least two hours and-"

Indy felt the top of his head for a second and then realized something was missing.

"Hey!" he yelled turning back to the door. "Give it back!"

And in a loud burping noise the door to Special Collections flew open and a soggy leather fedora shot out, hitting Indiana in the chest with a loud "splat".

Cal winced. "Eeeeeew."

Because, really, what else was there to say?

There really is one other thing to say.

"I'm going home and taking a shower," Indiana announced. "I'll be back tomorrow."

"Try...not to get too much on the floor on your way out," Cal said, because he didn't want to have to clean all that up.

Maybe he should just leave it for whoever opened tomorrow.

Who did open tomorrow, anyway?

SP is the name of the game today, and the game is looooooooove.

At least until tonight, anyway.

Mostly because Bamber as young!Colonel Sanders there gives me nightmares, ngl.
