Blank Page Art Club, Monday After Classes

The tables in the art room were covered in small bins of different kinds of stone, metal and plastic beads, wire, different colors of silk cord, and the fastenings needed to turn these things into necklaces and bracelets.

"Hey," Claire announced, once she realized everybody was there and looked up from her attempt at a fake-amber-and-silver bracelet. "We're making jewelry today. I got some directions off the Internet, but it's kind of not rocket science."

"Anyhow, while we're working we have to talk about the Art Crawl thing next month. It's April 15-16, so we need ..." she looked at her notebook. "Somebody to talk to the music club about DJing or playing, somebody to talk to Geoff at the theater about if the cast wants to perform, people to get the art together, somebody to make the advertising posters and hang them up, and people to clean the warehouse out before the show. There's a sign-up sheet going around, so please let me know what you can do so I don't go insane. And I think that's it."

This was something Angela could get into.

She could thread chunky beads onto a string while she chatted, definitely.

Nope, not rocket science, but Cal decided that he was going to treat putting beads on a string like it was just because it distinctly was not.

And, hey, he figured he'd make a half dozen purple ones and keep them in his pocket to pull out to ease over certain blondes when he got them huffy next time.
