Student Council, Friday, Lunchtime

Lunch that day was pizza.

"Last week we had the suggestion of doing spirit week during exams," Nathan said. "Does everyone think that will work or do you think that ~~might interfere with something that I'm not OOCly aware of~~ would be too much going on at once? If not, when should we have it? And what activities should we have? Let's make today's goal to finalize things enough that I can present it to the principal for you."

"I think doing it during exam week would be a nice, light thing to distract people from losing their minds," Lee decided.

"I agree," Joan said. "We can do fun and silly things to help people de-stress."

"Yep. Five days, Monday through Friday with just some silly side stuff shouldn't affect exams but it'd be a nice distraction," he agreed.

"It'll keep the morale up," Ender added. "Do we have a list of what to do for each day yet?"

"I think, before, we'd talked about...pajama day, twin day, school colors day, hat day, and...some other things that I forgot," Lee said. "If we come up with five good ones, we can just assign them days."

"Hawaiian day," Ender supplied. Sure, it'd been a joke at the time, but it worked now. "Maybe at the pool."

"Okay, so let's do a rough outline of the week," he decided. "Monday, pajamas day. Tuesday, crazy tie day? Those are fun. Friday can be our Hawaiian day to sort of cap the week. Ideas for Wednesday and Thursday or even Tuesday?"

"Swimsuit day?" Ino suggested. "Dress as the opposite gender day?"

Joan laughed. "Might not want to tempt fate with that one. Or the island might make us all gender swap again."

She considered. "What about a wacky hair day?"

"I was going to say the same about opposite gender day," Turtle snorted a little. "Maybe a sports day? Like, to make up for the deficit in having some."

Okay, so now we have pajamas day, Hawaiian day, sports day, wacky hair day, and possibly swimsuit day," Lee recited. "That's five with swimsuit day that might be tempting the fates. But, who knows."

"Swimsuits kinda go with the Hawaiian day," Joan pointed out. "What about, like, a Mardi Gras type day or something?"

"You're going to have to put up posters or something explaining that one," she pointed out dryly, "Hawaiian day too. Not all of us actually know what that means. At least everyone knows what a swimsuit is."

"What if, instead of Hawaiian day, we called it like Summer Day?" Lee asked. "People can wear shorts and all their summer clothes and we can pray it doesn't snow?"

She shrugged a bit. "That's a better one--it's not too this world specific, you know?"
