Phys Ed: Week 8, Period 1 (Fri. 3/6)

As students filtered into the Danger Room, they'd find themselves faced with a dark space, save for some candle light. The air smelled of soothing incense and the floor was littered with soft pillows and mats. The typical locker room doors were off to one side, masked from obvious view by a decorative screen to keep the serene atmosphere of the room intact.

And then there was the large man sitting cross-legged in the back of the room. "Today we're meditating. Get your uniform and take a seat. Sit cross-legged with your hands resting on your knees, palms open toward the sky. Falling asleep means you're doing it too well. I'll leave the radio on for background." Ronon always meditated too well. Lucky for everyone there was no Teyla here to hit them with sticks.

Priestly changed into his uniform with no fuss. He was looking forward to this. This was a class where Worf couldn't yell at him.

The uniform didn't bother Éowyn nearly as much now as it had at the beginning of the year, so she did not complain as she got changed.

There are plenty of candles, incense, and soft cushions to hold over your ears if you didn't like the Celine Dion Greatest Hits CD that was stuck on very quiet repeat. Blame whoever Ronon stole the radio from.

The music didn't bother Gavin much. He could sleep in noisy ships, he could sleep with some woman squealing quietly.

He got into the position that Ronon had instructed and closed his eyes. He knew he was going to fall asleep. He just knew it.

Molly took her seat on the floor and closed her eyes. Her meditation exercise then became learning how to block out the music.

While Worf was irritated by the music, he was able to eventually ignore it.

He was also on the lookout for anyone who might try to break the silence.

This might have involved some soft humming.

Reno wasn't so great at meditation, but he'd been working on it lately. It took a bit of fidgeting, a bit of glowering annoyed at the radio, and then a bit more fidgeting before he finally managed to slip into a somewhat meditative state.

This normally wasn't how Liz mediated but she was able to block out the music and focus on her meditation.

Jo promptly fell asleep, if she could sleep through some of the music that got played at the roadhoues, she could sleep through Celine Dion.

Jill could totally do meditation. Maybe not quite the way the teacher wanted them to meditate, but she could totally do meditation. And hey, it never hurt to reinforce the mantra, right?

It might be argued he would never sleep.

He has had stuff thrown at him for other reasons that we won't get into here.

He's probably asleep fifteen minutes into the hour because he was smart enough to invest in ear plugs. The snoring's really the dead give away.
