*strides in wearing a rather dingy robe, looking a little scorched around the edges*

The feast is small but nourishing tonight class.
We are discussing Creation - myths and mysteries.

Please, tell me what you all think, and we will go from there

*sits behind his desk, looking worn and tired, his hat drooping down*

Rogue walks in before class. "Professor, are you alright? Can I get you somethin' to drink?" She frowns with concern.

"Sir... Are you all right?" Lana looks concerned at Gandalf's appearance.

"An elf, Sir?" Lana starts to ask more, then remembers where she's attending high school and decides maybe she doesn't really want to know.

Rogue brings him a glass of water. "Here you go, sir. I hope you feel better soon."

"Sounds kind of like the old tales about the fey," Lana says. "Beautiful and won't lie, but can play with the truth till you're not sure of your own name."

"Well, there's the obvious, the Biblical Genesis myth. But I think the Enuma Elish is much more interesting." She digs out a book from her bag. "The battle-centric creation myth is much more universal."

"When I was little I always kind of wanted to meet one - visit their land - but when I got older I decided maybe that would be a little too dangerous. I mean, assuming they're real - and given what I've seen here I'm guess I'm not willing to rule anything out - you never come back unchanged. And sometimes you're changed in ways you really didn't want to be."

Michael smiles at his roommate.

Lana thinks about this for a minute, biting her lip, then nods slowly, "You know, I think it is. I hadn't really thought of it in that way before. I mean, here I am. I came here just wanting to get out of Smallville and be... my own person, I guess, and I've already seen things here that I would have sworn were absolutely impossible. I'm never going to be the same Lana I was before."
