The feast is small but nourishing tonight class.
We are discussing Creation - myths and mysteries.

Please, tell me what you all think, and we will go from there

"About Creation myths, sir?"

Anakin tried to think of one.

"Most of my galaxy has embraced the scientific thoughts of how stars and planets are created. There isn't really a galaxy-wide diety--many planets still have their own, of course. The Force is mostly considered benevolent but is not attributed with creating life." He thought back to what his mother had said about his birth. "For the most part."

Anakin shrugged. "This hasn't really been part of my study. We focus more on the practical aspects of the Force, rather than what special powers others might be attributing to it. There's a sect of the Jedi who are very involved in studying what they refer to as the Living Force, in allowing the Force to guide you and your actions, but for the most part they are considered a bit of a fringe. Force meditations are more cerebral these days."

"I think the Order has been moving away from emotions--they tend to be messy. The Living Force focuses on the present, living in the moment. Most Jedi prefer to look at past, present, and future--getting a more balanced perspective and not relying as much on instinct."

Anakin looked embarassed. "I'm still very much in training, sir. I can't possible do justice towards explaining Jedi philosophy."

"You're not burdened by the guilt of the past or the dread of the future. You're free to act the way your instincts lead you." Anakin thought about it. "This was the way my old teacher was taught, and he didn't seem particularly enamored by the technique."

"Beings who know say I'm one of the Jedi most attuned to the Force. To me, the Living Force isn't really a philosophy. It's how I live, and a constant headache for my old master. He thinks that I need to learn to think beyond the immediate. I think he needs to stop dwelling on the what-ifs and the what-happeneds."
