Comparative Religions

Marty is in a good mood tonight. He talks at length regarding the Japanese Creation myth (http://www.wsu.edu:8080/~wldciv/world_civ_reader/world_civ_reader_1/kojiki.html) that he learned about during a mission to Japan.

Before class ends he presents Gandalf with a gift (http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a244/oatmanspatient/whiskey.gif) with the following note.

Recently came to terms with some bad things in my past. Your class has helped me through it. The drink may not be from this world, but it's pretty good stuff. Enjoy it.

Marty looks over at Gandalf as he's talking with other students.

"Look this whole security job? I think it's bigger than one person. I'm talking with Bristow tomorrow and I'm telling him I want you as a co-chair. You've got a bigger background than I do on this whole magical realm stuff than I do. What do you think?"

The coffee Alanna had just taken a sip of got sprayed over the desk. "You're kidding right? You want me to co-chair with you?" She began to hunt around for a napkin.

Marty pulls out a hankerchief and offers it to Alanna.

"What? You thought I was just being a politician when I was in the debates and they asked me to describe you? I hate politicians. It's a dirty word. This election has divided more students than it has united it."

"I mean our campaign platforms were almost identical and we both want to make sure that the campus is safe, right? So why not?"

Alanna began working on removing the coffee from the desk and shrugged. "I know I was honest, but I'm not a politician by far. I just know the theories." She stops her cleaning for a moment and looks up. "I meant what I said about you being a nice guy, if the Dean lets you, I'd be thrilled to work with you." She offers him one of her rare full smiles.

"Great! Even if the Dean says no, I'll still need someone to back me up. If you can't be a co-chair, then you'll be the next in command. We'll make you a deputy or whatever kind of title is necessary."

Alanna laughed. "Cake?" She offers him a piece of fudge cake. "What, you thought the food thing was a ploy to get votes?"

"No, but if I don't get the recipe for one of those lemon squares I may have to rescind my offer." Marty says taking the cake.

Alanna stifles a groan. "I don't think I can ever look a lemon bar in the eye again. How's your chicken by the way? I think he might have brought in the most votes for you." She tries not laugh.

"Camilla? Remarkably low maintenance. Apparently since she is a muppet!chicken, they don't really eat. You just give them food, they pretend to eat it and the chicken feed flies everywhere. Much like the Swedish Chef just pretends to cook food."
