Into the Black Flight Club meeting (Tuesday evening)



Anakin and Padmé sat on the ramp of Padmé's ship. The smell of the pizza ordered for the Flight Club's first meeting wafted out and caused Anakin's stomach to rumble.

He practically vibrated with energy. Could be the possibility of flying again. Could be the excuse to spend more time with the Senator. Either way, he's in a fantastic mood.

I get my endorsements at the end of the school year, passenger and cargo, and then Chewie lets me have the left-hand seat.

"I haven't been that far in. We've stuck mostly to the Rim for the last few years. Wookiees just aren't real common in the Inner Systems, except as slaves. And no one is going to take me for the heir of a family wealthy enough to have one."

He looked over the ship. "She's beautiful, especially for such an antique."

Anakin's eyes flashed. "Who dared to make Wookiees slaves?"

Anakin gave the ship a loving pat. "Wait? Antique?" He sighed. "Is this one of those space-time things? If you tell me about where you're from is my head going to explode or something?"
