Into the Black Flight Club meeting (Tuesday evening)

Anakin and Padmé sat on the ramp of Padmé's ship. The smell of the pizza ordered for the Flight Club's first meeting wafted out and caused Anakin's stomach to rumble.

He practically vibrated with energy. Could be the possibility of flying again. Could be the excuse to spend more time with the Senator. Either way, he's in a fantastic mood.

"OMG, An. She's gorgeous. I've never seen such clean lines." She tilted her head, listening, loving, as she ran her hand over the hull. "Maybe the old Commonwealth slipfighters, but those are practically legends."

She looked at him, speaking softly. "You've flown her?"

"Normally there's a pilot from Padme's home planet to fly it. As a diplomat, she doesn't have to pilot her own ship, of course." He smiled. "But yeah, I've flown it. Once. No weapons of course on a diplomatic vessel, but she's got a turn of speed you wouldn't expect. Plus she's beautiful." He ran his fingers across the hull as well. "She's the one that introduced me to the stars."

"With enough speed, you don't need weapons. Or if the pilot's smart." She smiled and moved for a closer look at the engines. "I bet she handles like a dream with those engines. Even without friction, there's just something about a ship like her that says she loves the black."
