Into the Black Flight Club meeting (Tuesday evening)

Anakin and Padmé sat on the ramp of Padmé's ship. The smell of the pizza ordered for the Flight Club's first meeting wafted out and caused Anakin's stomach to rumble.

He practically vibrated with energy. Could be the possibility of flying again. Could be the excuse to spend more time with the Senator. Either way, he's in a fantastic mood.

Anakin grinned. "Am I not allowed to be both?"

He grabbed a slice of pizza and walked over to Cally. "Have you seen the ship that's taking up space in Jayne's backyard? He said we can have it for the club and I'd love to take it, assuming it can break atmo and not break into pieces. I'm pretty sure it's going to take more than just me to fix it up--what's your schedule like?"

Sam ran into the room, a little breathless. "Sorry, I forgot about the meeting." She grinned at Cally and blushed, mouthing the words, "Thank you."

She grabbed a slice of pizza and bit down, promptly burning the roof of her mouth.

"No problem at all. Glad you could make it."

He gestured at Cally. "We were just talking about some serious work that needs to be done on a ship at Jayne's before it's going to be ready to fly. How handy are you with a wrench?"

Sam pried the cheese off the roof of her mouth with her tongue, grimacing. "Better than average, I guess."

Well, as for my schedule, I got classes pretty much every day... but I'm pretty much free after Bio on thursdays, and only have Math on fridays, so I got a lot of free time there...

Yep. Not exactly certified or anything, but I know my way around an engine better than anyone I know.

"You never asked." Rogue smirks. "Actually, I'm not. Well, there was this one time, but that wasn't flying, more like barely not crashing." She grins. "I'm here to learn, really. If I go back home and join the team, I'll have to know how to fly. Plus, I thought I might be able to get Anakin shirtless again."

Well, certainly seems like we've got a ton of folks who know what they're doing... I'm sure somebody will be able to teach. Me, I'm keeping my feet on the ground.

Well, I've not really done a whole lot of atmosphere flying... but spaceships... everytime there's an FTL jump, ::shudders:: gives me the willies. I hate that part.
